I've been on Linux Mint since 6 and the only issues I had was with Dell laptops and Broadcom wifi chips. It was annoying to have to hook up wired to get the drivers but only took 5 min to get it going other non Dell laptop and wifi cards in desktops worked out of the box.
Now seriously, if you want to develop malware, you'd first think of "how many potential victims would I have?". Also... a Linux box is a Linux box. The difference between "server" and "desktop" lies in which software it runs, period. One could become the other just by installing something or enabling something.
Question for you: if I have a Linux server and install KDE on it, or X - would you name it a "Desktop"? Or is it still a server? Or both? I'm confused.

Wasn't Internet Explorer so tied into early windows versions that it was considered part of the OS itself since mare mortals couldn't just uninstall it till a few years ago?

I've built three boxes with MSI A75a-e35 and AMD A-8 and A-10 with no issues running Linux Mint 15/16/17, well except two of the boards had issues after 6 months. The replecement boards are working fine though.

So I say "So I can assume that since you haven't hung up yet that, that is a yes?" I can hear people in the background as she still hasn't hung up the phone whlle I proceeded to tell her I'll buy the service if she takes it in the ass. After a bit she hung up.
I'd be disturbing too if it was me being harassed by the police for thought crime. If my kid did this I'd tell me he did good to question censorship and police harassment.
then you got nothing to cry about especially when you got a free get out of jail card and then kept on breaking the law. Even at 33 months I don't feel sorry for the guy if he was making money by selling copies. If he got 33 months for sharing the file that would have been a bit excessive.
I don't upsell in my store and its succesfull and I refuse to upsell unless the customer asks me if there's anything else I can recomend. I give them one example and thats it. Knowing your customer base and products is the key.
