    Hardcore Firefox user since it was released first as Phoenix. I had to switch as I noticed in both my Windows box at work older i7/8GB Ram and at home A10/16gb of ram Firefox was making my systems slow as hell. It all started around the same time a few updates ago. Switched to Chromium and all slow downs went away.

    Yes I'd prefer to have something not controlled by Google but the Original Opera is now gone and haven't bothered to look at alternatives.

    Yah blame the user for the virus exploits and not the vendor that created the software with huge holes and the vendor who is blocking updates when running new gen CPU's on older OS versions just to try and push people to W10.

    when you couldn't connect a new XP install to the internet to get updates unless you installed firewall and virus software before hand. It was pretty cool, tested it a few times on my then 1mbit ADSL line. Install XP, connect to internet and within minutes you'd get infected. I can't remember the name of the virus off hand.

    Iike my $150 Samsung J1 and I like it better than paying $100's more for something that is 98% similar.

    I've got 6 android/touch phones at home that I need to destroy that I broke in the last 4 years. It doesn't matter about Apple care or any other care, to me the extra $$$$ you pay for a "premium phone" is not justifiable as its just a consumption device that any speed/power difference is a moot point for me. Now if I was to use this for productivity/business reasons where I needed power like a cheap laptop with a 13" screen vs a nice i5/i7 with 17" screen than I'd pay the price for the better equipment.

    but when it comes to a phone that I'll probably break in 6 months I'd rather spend $150 (CDN) for a Samsung J1 than $700+ for a phone that will do the same thing and break just as easily.

    Would I buy cheap Chinese car parts to save a few $$, hell no as that involves my safety and others on the road.

  23. I was working at a local ISP and was pretty much burnt out as there was only 3 of use running an ISP with 4000+ customers and me having do to web design, support and sales. When I finally gave my walking papers in the two weeks before my departure where were 80+ resumes sent it with a big part of them being guys who not a year earlier were running "multi millions worth internet companies" in Yale Town Vancouver which were now defunct. My old employer was like this guy was the ceo of this and that and etc.. He never hired any of them as all they wanted was to get their foot into the door with another internet company.
