Plus you can always give false personal info. I clearly gave CVS false info and they did not care. One example I have used at a different store: Jane Doe that lives on 194 Anonymous St.... with a phone number of 432-111-1111.
I love and use them too, but there are problems. 1) can't use them on with dimmers 2) some sockets can not use them because of the fat width right above the metal screw part

Don't know about you, but most of the AFHV's was not that funny or often at all. Most of the videos only would be funny if it happened in person to someone. Instead of them cherry picking what the masses might like, places like youtube let people choose themselves, along with screen any videos instead of a select few.
This is just another form of cross breeding plants, which nature does on its own and humanity for thousands of years. So over all, that should not be a problem. What can be a problem is what genes they splice into a plant and the effects is may cause, along with genes jumping to other plants in the wild-- such as chemical resistance has jumped to weeds. The problem is whether it is wise to add certain "powers" to a plant, or as for safety for consumption, which is tested by the way. If it is to increase yeilds, make it more tastey, smell and look better (happens all the time with things like cheese, cherries for example), incubate medicine, etc... really should not be a problem. When we start to add chemical resistance or means for the plant to fight off certain bugs, fungus, etc-- we also need to study how that affects the wildlife around it and make sure it is not harming or doing things we really should not occur.
To get around the current issues without waiting for everyone to shift to IP6, what would be needed is system for video steaming that made use of a p2p network.
My iRivier 899 comes with software that only allows one way travel of music onto the device, but there is a wonderful *nix program called ifupgui that is for iRiver players and supports me placing and copying off music from the player.
Perhaps there is a OSS project that will provide that feature and more. If it supports rockboxs you could then play ogg and mp3 files (among several others).
I prefer the 'classic' look. I hope they have a setting so that people whom prefer the current/old design will not be forced to live with the newer design that is suppose to be "better".
CmdrTaco please give us Classic Theme options in the preference settings!
That is why you need to have, on hand, blood clotting powder. I do not recall the name of what I use have, when I had pets many years ago, but you should be able to buy it from most animal care shops.
Although, oversight is important, this would make a wonderful tool for planning crime, stalking, and tracking down people that went into hiding ( example witness protection people, if they have a program like this ). Because of this, it might be better to not let everyone have access to such channels
To use any feature on that site requires javascript. This really bugs me, since it makes using w3m, lynx, or firefox with noscript un-usable. Google, at least, makes their sites workable without javascript, even gmail.
This will create a market where some small companies will sell special black boxes to sit between your tv and player, asuming of course that the powers that control the blue-ray or DHTV standards will not sue them out of business for helping consumers use their invalidated tech.
I would bet that this is part of a larger plan, so people would be more willing to buy and download from the Net movies, music, games, etc. It is not just a push for high speed access, since TimeWarner has fingers into all kinds of media and entertainment .
I would think one of the best solutions (along with backing things up) is to turn the system clock back a few days, until a proven removal tool can be used.
Or you could have used the Firefox Dictionary extention. Select a word and a small window pops up with the results, and if that doesn't supply good enough results, then no worries because there are 14 more dictionary sources to seek answers with.
How much you want to bet there is a reset password to default button somewhere on the system? Thus rendering this parental control useless for kids that are somewhat bright.
I think the submitter missed an important part of the article, which is this quote[...In late 2003, the Bush administration reversed a long-standing policy requiring agents to destroy their files on innocent American citizens, companies and residents when investigations closed. Late last month, President Bush signed Executive Order 13388, expanding access to those files for "state, local and tribal" governments and for "appropriate private sector entities," which are not defined....]
Since they only provide snippets on non-public domain works, it still falls under fair-use. It does not matter how the info is indexed and stored, since they are allowed to have a copy. What matters is what they share and display to others.

True... The best protection is just running a computer off a livecd and have network file storage

Then lets hope that it is old enough for it to expire soon.
How old is this patent that AT&T owns? The article does not seem to say.

Bring back Slurm from the year 3000!
The point perhaps: To have a reasonable starting point, then there it is all about tweeking and evolving....

This lack of respect to privacy is troubling....
