it seems to me that movies made off of books are, for the most part, much better when the author of the book works on the screenplay.
case in point: Requiem for a Dream. if Hubert Selby hadn't worked on the screenplay, i doubt it would have been such a great movie.
if Orson Scott Card is working on the screenplay for Ender's Game, i would expect it to be good, or at least better than it would have been without his input.
doom the board game would suck, mainly because you wont be seeing all the demon's guts fly out as you shoot them.....and you're not sitting in front of a monitor.
PC/Console games being converted to board and vice versa almost never work out well. anyone remember the AD&D games for the NES?
as far as underappreciated movies go..... id have to say "The Flying Guillotine" was one of the best... its a cheesy kungfu movie that has something to do with a hat that has a saw blade on it that cuts peoples heads off.....
as far as underappreciated anime goes..... anybody ever seen "Perfect Blue"? great anime....

i live in west virginia, and unless you go to charleston, there is almost no opportunities for tech jobs around here.
the simple fact of it is that they're all taken.
