    A UCAV with a proper sensor setup may have better situation awareness then a pilot. Nor do they get stressed or tired. Main problem would be IFF and target selection, and liability in case of a civilian or blue on blue incident.

    Reminds me of a claim that the MS ACPI test suit is subtly different form the Intel one, so if one use the MS suit one get a ACPI setup that may not play nice with the ACPI spec.

    Reminds me of a recent documentary of the 08 banking crash.

    When BoA was to buy Merrill Lynch, they expected the final agreement to be done by 10pm, but ended up discussing severance packages for various execs well into 1am!

    Persons loaning out money and banks loaning out money operates with two different sets of rules, thanks to banks being able to operate using "reserve banking". That is, they can loan out beyond what they have on ledger from deposits and such.

    And the New York Fed. VP observed in the 60s that while in a perfect system the banks would gather deposits first and issue loans second, the real world see them issue loans first and then go look for deposits to cover the reserve requirements.

    Well the Chicago school, the boys that seems to be running the show these days, have a mental disconnect between their pet theories and the real world. So yes, at this time there is zero control to be had.

    Yes and no. I will make the claim that inflation or deflation of value of the individual notes have less to do with the growth of a economy then the availability of said notes for investment in projects.

    Sure if the printing presses are running 24/7 so that you go from 1 note to 1000 in a matter of hours, your up shit creek. or there are 100 notes in existence but 99 is held in a drawer somewhere you, your equally in trouble.

    But as long as there is the willingness and ability to invest, and the majority of the investments turn a profit within a acceptable time frame, the increase or decrease of value in the individual notes have secondary importance (as long as the rate of change stays sane).

    Seems that right now for most of the world that is decided by elderly men in suits doing closed door decisions.

    You had me going until the last part. There may be some big names in Shanghai and Shenzhen, but You can bet that Beijing is keeping a close eye on their activities. Also, the infrastructure is still very much nationalized.

    Hell, China basically pulled a classic Keynes when their exports dropped. Rather then focus on austerity they fired up internal projects to keep the engines running. The oligarchs would just pack up and let the people fry under a similar condition.

    So they are operating a bit like the nordic social-democracies? Or how they used to, these days it is a variant of the Chicago school that is in vogue even here. Hell, even Gorbachev hoped to transition the soviet system in that directing until the hardliner struck, fumbled, and the ball was passed to Yeltsin. Then came the Chicago boys to "help", giving the Russian economy one of their shock treatments. Fat lot of good that did.

    I am guessing said washer had a separate spin dryer or such. They are much less complicated that way, as there is not all the gearing and stuff to make the same engine go from a sedate rpm to the crazy that is the spin cycle.

    So as long as Apple do not specifically used the words "you do not need it", but instead come up with some excuse for not having it, then they have plausible deniability?
