American media does that to Americans without government imposing it. Currently, to get any news about world affairs, Americans need to reach information sources outside U.S. borders. Hell, I didn't know the Burmese PM was removed from power last week until I read it in online newspapers from Malaysia and Australia. I saw no mention in American news websites, probably since they're all too busy talking about Bush/Kerry right now.
Iraq is the obvious exception to this; in that case information is indeed available, although limited by our government and the Iraqi puppet government we installed over there.
Agreed, "Haunted" is one of the best albums to have come out at that time, especially considering that it's a "full concept" album, not just a bunch of disconnected songs screaming "Single me!"
Granted, the "plot" (such as it is) makes more sense if you've read her brother's book. Then again, I don't know many people who understood the book;)
Poe certainly deserved more coverage for that album than she got - I guess imagination also isn't a selling point for the record corps. The high point for that album's "publicity" was prolly opening for The Cure on tour.
Of course, that's how Cranes got started as well...
So the internet between most non-US countries will still continue to be fine... and in fact I'd say it would be improved because it will have greater use if hosts move outside the US.
I feel obligated to link to the Gamer's Manifesto (which has made news here before, incidentially.)

We do all have an idea what happened to prisoners in Abu Ghraib, however...
It _is_ a pretty unlikely coincience....but unlikely coincidences happen all of the time.
Next you'll be telling us that it was a coincidence that the moment of the long-awaited, Curse-breaking Red Sox victory was marked by a lunar eclipse.
=P
Wrong. Plain wrong.

Of course, on the House side, Kucinich voted against the PATRIOT Act.
Did anybody here even *consider* voting for him in the primary?
Probably not, because he looks silly. [sigh]

Something like that is already available on video. It's called End of Evangelion.
By analogy, many companies believe that their first responsibility is to their stockholders.
In this light, offshoring makes perfect sense.

One thing is certain: if you repeat something often enough, you will CERTAINLY start to believe it.
This is the same R. Thompson who has been predicting the imminent demise of Apple for at least FOUR YEARS now.
I guess he really means it this time.
