3G put huge debt every uk telecoms provider who signed up for it. Mobiles had stopped bringing in much *new* money, so new services seemed the next big step. As such, they acutely overpaid.
I think this case was unique because it is a custom tracker coded in php/mySQL (the official one is in python), and rather than overloading the CPU mySQL gave php the middle finger to save its self. With 470 clients querying info about the other 469, I don't blame it. Either way its running again so all is happy.
On the spamcop newsgroup this has come up several times, increasing frequently. After tens of complainst to hotmail, still the canned 'measures you can do to prevent spam' email returns. Nice to know they care about their soon to be blacklisting.
A commercial branch of BT could be packaged up nicely as a spyware free alternative to things like kontiki which companys like gamespot.com use to send large files to non paying users but avoiding the bandwidth costs.
Also the guy who draws for penny arcade bought one has found it incredibly useful as a mobile sketchbook for rough drawings that he can bring about to events, and then he does the pictures are done up on a proper pc and photoshop.
I am slightly disturbed that AOL have posted that message posing as nullsoft, and it is clear that it is AOL's words because they don't understand the GPL (and as such cannt pull the software). The message also sounds like it has been written by lawyers (the "Evil").
I would never want to take my security for granted, in any product. Not windows, not open source, not even goddamn openbsd that proclaims proudly 'only one remote hole in the default install, in more than 7 years' on its front page. Only one hole that has been found. The chances are that, somewhere, there is an obscure security hole that nobody has discovered. It would become the second.

And you think acceptance speeches from half way around the world, with the award being conveniantly there for the winner, are live?

if the tracker cannt cope then downloading the torrent from another site won't help. the achilles heel of BT is the tracker :(

They prefer to call it an easter egg.

Blueyonder have recently introduced several exim servers to their mail service, too.

Is this the same microsoft that was told it couldnt bundle the browser with its OS?
Though in the hindenburg it was used to help the craft float and not to drive it, or am I mistaken?
