If your phone is talking to two or three cells that on ground could never 'see' each other, expect a letter from your company ranting about confusing the network. I don't know what harm it does, although I have read a couple of storys from people who have been wrote to.
I was thinking the same thing. I cann't recall seeing a NYT article linked from here with the google cache banner across the top, what I do see alot are the partner links. Google already provides for register-only news sites (financial times?) by putting a [reg only] tag beside the article. Why the NYT has chosen not to use this up until now is a tad strange, and it looks like someone has picked up the wrong end of the stick.
In this case pudge was the defendant and the jury in the submission process. Are you inciting that slashdot submitters get off on apples? It is an interesting thought but not one I want to ponder on.
i never know what to post in celebration threads

Happy Birthday, Dear DNS

So all I'm gonna say is happy birthday. Thats the point, no?;-)
Artist representatives say a singles-oriented model means a significant hit to the bottom line. Instead of divvying the spoils of a $12-$18 CD sale, labels, artists and songwriters are vying for nickels and dimes from 99 cent downloads.
As the article earlier today demonstrated, artists do not get a good share of the 'spoils' from a $12 CD, and they are very naieve if they think their current contracts are giving them a good deal. 12%, albiet in the form of 12 cents, is a step up from the status quo.
I did something similar for a while but stopped because I didn't really have any use for it. Using primarily my ISP's mail service theres not much I can do to customise it. At some point I intend to set up some sort of thing that feeds into a dns blacklist, but when that will be I just don't know. Its probably already been done, but heck, its the taking part that counts. Or something like that
What must be noted is that a custom tracker would almost be a necessity. Trackers overload REAL easy, so having one you can run over a load balanced system or that keeps CPU and memory usage to a bare minimum is a must.
and when you have multiple instances of an app that both need specific ports fowarded, it creates a problem
heh. No reg required ;)
A friend was on an american airline soon after the new measures were introduced. It was nothing he didn't expect from a British airport.
The fact they still sell glass bottles shows how little they actually care.
I take the free one, because £1.20 for a 500ml bottle is a rip off.

no purchase necessary but you have to spend roughly the same price on a stamp to mail in your 'entry'
only game that comes to mind is PSO, and that *has* to be online
With 70+ hours of offline play, tell my friend that.
what sort of website does your client run? slashdot will get more linux/moz hits than msn.com
What is it I have to do? Send loves and kisses?

Netcraft says Netcraft is using FreeBSD
which is still a joke
Damn I've spent about ten optimised minutes thinking of a reply to this but it just isnt coming.
Open source is any source that is available. open source software is whatever you want it to be
Anybody wanna bet that both pixar and pixlet were derived from pixel.

Whos willing to bet that the very accidental leak of G5 specs came from the same people who very accidentaly leaked these screenshots.
just because i use windows doesnt mean i don't support open source
Take flat screen. Take a 'one way' mirror. Put bright screen behind mirror and ta-da, you get tv-in-mirror.
thanks coward
Let's hope this spreads to asda, a company in the uk that wal mart owns. I've been wanting a serivce like netflix over here!
