I find it pretty hilarious that there are supposedly "tons of sex partners" in "Sigerslevvester" that just want my body. Obviously, Sigerslevvester is something they get from the IP on this computer, however Sigerslev Vester (as it is correctly named) is a small village.
Even more hilarious is when I'm at my dorm and they tell me that there's also tons in the city of "Mønsted" (the last name of the man whose fund is running the dorm). There is indeed a village called Mønsted in Denmark, but I doubt it has much to offer me.
Oh well, there are plenty of girls at my dorm, and I don't need the internet to talk with them.
I don't know where you get this, I saw an interview with him last night on TV, and he said he wanted to help other people, and that he was cooperating with scientists to figure out what caused the virus to disappear.
"Secondly, and perhaps even more important, if you do get infected with something it is ABSURDLY easy to do a clean reinstallation of Mac OS X WITHOUT hosing all of your preferences and important installed software. In comparison in the Windows world it is an absolute nightmare to have to reinstall the OS because you know you will have to reinstall every piece of software that uses the Registry, which is darn near everything."
Wouldn't that mean that the spyware would still be there?;)
Yeah sorry about being so vague but I am still hung over. I don't even know what the hell I am doing on slashdot heh. Good thing there's a party in an hour so I can get offline.
In 10.3 there exists by default a file at/.hidden that has a list of files including all the UNIX-specifc directories. The file isn't there in 10.4 unless you create it. So the way to get them to show in 10.4 isn't by editing.hidden but by changing metadata...
What I meant that by default there's no longer a file at/.hidden, and so editing that will make no difference in the amount of files shown, only the amount of files hidden.
There's also the.hidden file that the finder checks to see what files/directories it shouldn't show, but now that I read up on that it seems 10.4 doesn't use that anymore.
But how many other objects are there in the pool? Balls float. I can't really think of anything that could be in the pool that would set off a non-motion detector but is still supposed to be there.
In case it wasn't clear from my post, I live in Denmark. And I can certainly vouch for the women here :)

That's the best & worst idea I've heard all day.

(note: Mac user since 1988 here)
I'm not one of the mods, but I'd like some if you're going to the pot store anyway.
I guess that's why you can show boobs and say swears on American TV unlike Danish TV. Oh wait.
Oh wait, you're right. Sorry about that, I'm just a breeder.
Well since we evolved from Pak & other animals on Earth/F124 evolved from mutated food yeast, that is obviously the reason that we behave differently.
Where are they going to chat now?
Yeah. He survives until the end and breaks down the door and its a taperecorder with a rifle hooked up to a bomb.
Anybody read that comic by Gimenez in Heavy Metal in the eighties, Good-Bye Soldier!? It was pretty sweet.
The thing is, they have to allow two things:
1. People have to have the ability to play a recording they made themself
2. People have to have the ability to play a recording somebody else made
With those two requirements, it's just a matter of piping, really.
Here's an early mention from 26 Aug. 1998

If you use bittorrent, you are uploading, it's part of how the protocol works.

That's all well and good but mostly it's just for downloading stuff for free.
it turns out VisiCalc looked more like a giant chick than a lizard.
I think they mean plot, not genre. Unless I completely missed them, there weren't any songs in Pirates of Silicon Valley.

The list of names is useless. There's no point of reference that can be used to decode it, even if/when they managed to grasp the format of the CD.
