My dad refused to hire a salesman saying "my customers are the only salesmen I need". The best salesman in our large high tech company, that I ever had the pleasure of working with, had a large set of loyal customers. The customers were loyal because he never sold them anything that wasn't fit for there application. He also got to know them very well (including how there kids were progressing, by name). His customers trusted him and I loved supporting them. It was quite strange how few other salesman really seemed to learn much from him.

In addition to the previous reply to this, the fact that heat rises isn't the whole story at all. Yes hot air rises (include yours which has rose to 2), radient heat goes in all directions and I expect there was a plentiful supply, probably plenty to cause ignition of cumbustables below the hydrogen supply. In addition, a portion of baloon structure that contained hydrogen might actually fall under some conditions such as most has escaped and the weight of the remaining container pulls it downward.

Some years back I had the oportunity to borrow a copy of the Naval Observatory's "Explanatory Suppliment" to the "Astronomical Almanac", 1992 edition, I think (http://aa.usno.navy.mil/). In there the description I recall was of an ensemble, as you call them, of cesium clocks in France. This is the "master clock", if you will, for the world. The thing that fascinated me the most was the statement that the committee, from time to time, in secret session would decide to 'steer' the thing a bit. These corrections go largly without explaination to the rest of the world outside of the committee.

In my case I started with slackware (not mentioned), changed to redhat from 1.x to 7.2 (bought 8 but never installed it for real use) but after buying a new nvidia chipset MB at home and being given a new intel chipset gateway at work to load, at the time Mandrake was the only distro that came close to working right and supporting the devices. So the newer kid on the block (mandrake) became the suave dominator and when redhat did it's turnaround in the big customer direction, I began to forget about them and fumora, well I tried it. Of course Mandrake ain't perfect and all have a ways to go. But the real Truth is I carry a live linux cd, Knoppix or one of it's derivitives for various uses. Long live knoppix!!!

The quality of clock in the GPS receiver makes a big difference in accuracy of the results. This is true both for navigation and timekeeping types. In any case, the time of the gps receiver must first be set to the time from the sat's but with corrections both for the delay to the receivers position and for the true gps time offset (around 13 seconds, if my memory is correct). Then based on the time held by the receiver, the position can be determined by the delay measurments of and position information in the signals. In the case of the 'position hold' mode used in timekeeping receivers, the time can be more accurately derived and produced. This is why some timekeeping receivers have options for the oscilators ranging from cheap (Motorola Oncore) to quartz to ovanized quartz to rubidium (cheap atomic) and beyond.

I probably should not try to answer your question since I haven't read Potter and only have second hand knowledge. However I will give it a shot. In C.S.Lewis work, for example, "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe", the lion is patterned after Jesus Christ and the story lines emphasise that which is generally accepted as good while the witch and witchery is depicted as both bad and weaker in the end. Thus the work is 'uplifting' Witchery, on the other hand, in Harry Potter is presented (so I understand) as attractive thus it is generally of no real worth and is possibly capeable of leading some off course, so to speak. At least there is (it would seem) little 'redeeming' value in Harry Potter.

What kind of traffic conditions do you prefer? Can a policeman enjoy his job? Does he derive some of these benifits acting on bahalf of others?
