I noticed this problem on my E1705 while I was in Israel recently. For days I experienced occasional stabs of pain in my left forearm whenever I had it pressed against the front of the laptop. I kept looking for something sharp or something that could have been grabbing the hairs on my arm but eventually I noticed a couple of tiny spots of bare metal on the housing where the paint had worn off. Immediately I suspected live voltage and sure enough when I put a voltmeter to it I could measure 30-40 VDC (never thought to measure AC) at the bare spot. And I noticed it would slowly charge up after a discharge.
However, the problem went away once I came home to the U.S. and I assumed it was related to the 220V service in Israel. Although this doesn't make much sense since the DC power supply should be supplying the same voltage to the laptop in either case.
This news, while being interesting from a scientific and technical standpoint (despite probably being way overblown and premature), will hardly impact the life of your average traveler. I can't speak for everyone here but the Concorde would never have been an option for me if I was ever flying to Europe due to the exorbitant ticket prices. I doubt this plane would be any different.
I tried that search while I was in China last year and came up with the same results as the first link. I was searching images.google.com and not images.google.cn but the fact is that it was very simple for me to change where the search took place (I think there's a link right on the google.cn home page that let's you change to google.com).
So while I suppose you can still say there's censorship the information is not completely blocked and doesn't require any serious effort to reach.
I did notice, however, that Wikipedia was blocked. I understand that now it has been opened up.
Can you tell me which music stations have commercials? I have XM (which, BTW, I initially subscribed to solely because of Opie & "Andy") and so far I haven't heard commercials on any of the music stations I listen to. Obviously I don't listen to them all so I'm not contradicting you -- I was just curious because I thought XM advertises their music stations as being commercial-free.
- Why do I need sneakers with springs in the heels when I tend to sit all day? - Why do I need a $500 video card in my computer when all I do is stare at my screensaver? - Why do I need a PVR when I only watch reruns of "This Old House" on VHS? - Why do I need glasspack mufflers when I drive a '74 Ford Pinto?
Just because you're happy with your current technological situation doesn't mean the rest of us should live unenhanced.

A trivial point but if that really bothers you look into the Imports statement.
They're giving this quadriplegic too much credit. To say he's going to "scale the heights" is a little off the mark. The guy in the HAL is doing all the scaling.
But anyway I'm glad the piggyback rider will get a chance to see something he wouldn't otherwise be able to see. Unless someone drove him up. Or he took a helicopter. Or maybe a tram.
Probably for the same reason they don't name characters from the 50th century Steve Smith and Brad Johnson. They want the names to sound futuristic or exotic. You can argue the apostrophe thing is an overused crutch but what other techniques are there to achieve that effect?
Truck drivers serve you food at the drive through?

I think you meant to say "ping times must be out of this world".

Don't forget about CNN.

Nevermind. I found my answer here:

Basically the commercials were forced upon XM by Clear Channel.

I had no idea he was British. He seems to have lost his accent or something.
Is it telling that the first thing I thought when I saw the title is "What could a spammer possibly have to trademark?"
Hmmm. Good question. Perhaps you'd like to volunteer to help them answer it.
Bob Kelly was the star of that show but I don't know what phone he used.
I'll confirm this one as well. Turtle Wax to be exact.
But I've only tried it once.
Maybe you're being presumptuous by assuming the advice in the summary was directed at you.

What's a "hand held calculator"?
Hmmm...I hope I can browse MSN Live or Yahoo using Google's network once it's up.
You're hardly a representative of general PC-buying public.
...yet another technology Verizon will not allow their customers to enjoy. This would be the final straw for me.
You're neither facetious nor a troll. You just can't R->C->P.
The article is about something that in fact hasn't been done before. This is the first time they were able to let it go from the White Knight.
Or is there some joke in your post that I'm not getting?

If the asshats at Verizon Wireless hadn't crippled the Bluetooth abilities of my Motorola e815, then yes, I would be using it.

I thought he pissed into the wind...
