I play Counter-Strike, I play UT, I play mostly voilent computer games. I hate handling guns in real life, fact took a lot of nerve for me to work in a sporting goods department at a department store that sells rifles.....there is evidence for you...if someone wants me to look at their handgun and tries to hand it to me its like "no thanks I can see it just fine from here".

Ok I can see the whole "messiah come to save" story line but if anyone actually thinks its a direct play on the story of Christ, they are just plain loony. For one thing the story of Christ is salvation from sin. The story of Neo, as from what I has summized, is salvation from human slavery ie control by robots. I just cant see Neo as a God-type figure though. I see him more as a mortal savior with extrodinary powers in the Matrix. There is no facts suggesting he is anything more than human in the mortal/physical realm. Of course we only have what has been presented in the first movie...i havent read the book (if there is one?)

you can increase signal to penetrate some obstacles but a lot of obstacles would make it difficult. Im looking at the same problem in my city, lots of pine trees and some small hills. Deer Park, WA, minutes north of a major metro area (Spokane, WA) and no broadband...but go 1 hour north and you get DSL service to a community 1/5 the size of Deer Park...go figure.

  13. A touch of grey on Texas Court Blocks Screen-Scraper · · Score: 1

Hmm this one is a bit more perplexing though than just public doman vs copyright. I looked at farechase's website and they make software for the travel industry to quickly compare rates. This software, i assume, does the screenscraping on multiple sites to gather fare information on different airlines/hotels/etc. The problem is air fare rates is not really something you can copyright. There really is no difference in using a screenscraper and paying someone to surf the website, record the information, and then publish on their own site. I believe the screen scraper is a good thing since fares are so dynamic and thus change frequently...you'd have to hire an army to keep up on the changes. Though there is already subscription services such as WIZCOM that most hotels and airline spublish rates to. But the part about terms & conditions, those are lame.

I just use them as coasters. I wish they could go back to sending floppy disks, at least those you could just reformat. Or send their AOL disks in CD-RW media so we could overwrite it and make use of all the plastic they waste mass producing my coasters.
