    Well, that shows me. You didn't even need to make an argument or anything. It must be so reassuring to never have to deal with any of that doubt stuff.

    In the USA we have freedom of expression. It's quite a concept. We learned it from Europeans like Voltaire.

    Yes, Europe is nice, if a bit pretentious. If you ever want to travel to America, you'd be welcome to. With the strong euro, this summer would be cheap.

    The "Council of Europe" is not even elected, and certainly not accountable to anyone. This "law" is equivalent to the destruction of free speech.

    The EU = communism. In a few years, America will have to bail out Europe from totalitarianism again. But will we bother? Maybe we should just let them sink.

    Where do you look up information besides combing through search engine results?

    There are these sources I can find without too much difficulty. Usually access is pretty easy. The interface is bit clumsy, but familiar enough to be user friendly. The great thing is that they are permamently static. They are totally unhackable, too. The page design is nice and simple -- no dumb "navigation" graphics. You don't even need to be logged in. I use those sources a lot.

    There is no such thing as an authority on advice sources. Such an authority would indeed be daft.

    The authority in question here concerns who is knowledgeable enough to give an authoritative medical opinion.

    If you just want to spread rumors and anecdotes about caffeine, fine. But the question itself (you know, the one after the words "Ask Slashdot") seemed to come from soneone with a serious medical concern.

    Anyone can yak about health matters. When your health is at risk, though, there's no use in going anywhere but to a medical professional. That means a licensed physician.

    Every substance is toxic at some concentration. If you drink too much water you will die. If you eat too many brussel sprouts, you will die. "Poisons" are substances that are toxic in tiny concentrations.

    The fact that caffeine can be toxic means nothing. Don't consume too much of anything.

    You know, the record companies and Hollywood want complete control over technologies that were invented over 100 years ago. That's the weakest part of their argument. If they're so hot to control a technology, why don't they go and invent a new one, like hologram projection? Then they'd actually have a patent.

    Lo, Slashdotters. You are currently reading about a window manager called "EvilWM." Some misguided souls have posted a list of benefits and features that EvilWM provides, in an abortive (pun intended) attempt to tempt believers into selling their souls to the Antichrist.

    Fear not evil! The LORD will deliver your windows from unrighteousness. There are window managers less sinful than EvilWM. There aren't any that I would exactly call "holy," however. Something like "Enlightenment" sounds interesting.

    Not so fast.

    If MS changes the Windows dll, do you think there's a small chance they will also change how that dll is accessed, thus cutting Mozilla out? Ya think?

    Then, once Mozilla has its own cross-platform, built-in NTLM, MS will really change NTLM, but at the server level, so that Mozilla has to start all over again.

    And still someone will say, "not an abuse of a monopoly." Har har.
