I don't think they'll merge the two variants. Rather, I think after there's a transition to touchscreens for most/all Apple devices, they'll just make the iPhone OS default and run older apps in a "mouse/keyboard" compatibility mode.
Of course, this is probably quite a few years down the line. I'm sure there will also be some back and forth in features between the desktop OS and the mobile OS (as you're already seeing with the new auto-correct features in Snow Leopard).
They should pull a Centrino. Just acknowledge that their latest sucks and go back and optimize and refresh XP. Use what they learned from Vista's development and not make the same mistakes.
That's why its partly govt funded...they believe that the economic benefits will recoup the costs, even if the track itself doesn't make money, the time saved in travel will.
I fear the military applications of this...not like it wasn't possible before, but perhaps this might give some people ideas that would ultimately be used to kill people.
Does anyone know of any good Human Physiology lectures online? I have a contract with a professor to read and learn the material over the summer independently, and was wondering if there were any free lectures available.
And besides, you can't compare optional controllers with one which will come standard with every Revolution console. Besides, Nintendo seems to be preparing the killer app for this type of controller to ship before the Revolution does! (Zelda)
there will be two versions of FFXII, one for PS2 (the version they have been working on) and one for PS3 (a quick port with highly improved graphics and the same gameplay)...SE was irked when Sony announced the release date for the PS3 around the same time that SE was going to release FFXII for PS2. This is just a way to make the best of a less than ideal situation...

The 60 GB version costs $599, the 20 GB version $499...but the real kicker is that in Japan you can get the 20 GB for $320...
More like bullying tactics and threats to the studios warning them not to sign up with Apple for it's movie downloading service.
Oh snaps!
Yea and what about outfitting robots with guns and using suits filled with accelerometers and cameras to remotely control them?
I fear the military applications of this...not like it wasn't possible before, but perhaps this might give some people ideas that would ultimately be used to kill people.
It has a 2 MP camera
Switch to Macs and use a virtualization solution (Parallels) or Boot Camp to test on Windows systems.
It's actually 600 bucks...the 500 buck model can only output up to 1080i...

The solution: Google Browser Sync Be sure to encrypt everything
I'm sure he'd want it to include an S2 engine.
yay
Yea, but if you import a Japanese PS3, you won't be able to play your (legacy) DVD movies that are Region 1 coded...

You know why nobody uses any of that stuff? Because nobody uses the Itanium.
not making the content to begin with?
You can't seriously expect Firefox not to work on Slashdot, can you?

That's what most people will do, but many others will go for the Toyota because of what they perceive as better quality and a higher level of support.
It's like the price difference between a Toyota Corolla versus a Geo Prism...which would you rather go for?
There are ways to format the hard drive so it is usable by both Linux as well as for Games, but it's a long, complex, unsupported process...
I would proclaim HP, Microsoft, and SCO as the Axis of Evil...
