2) I said features that I 'don't need'. I'm pretty sure 4.4 BSD Lite doesn't have my onboard NIC drivers, or the latest security patchs.
I think this argument is kind of redundant as we both have our reasons for using what we use, each are equally valid, and the only reason we are arguing is because I misinterpretted something you said. So on that note, I will stop.
"Did I claim that 5.x is more stable? In any event, I have never had FreeBSD crash. 4.x or 5.x. In terms of feature sets, though, 5.x kills 4.x with ease. I for one look towards the future instead of wollowing in the past."
No, but you insinutated that FreeBSD 4.x was without merit with your 'fuck 4.x' comment.
In any case, it's not wollowing in the past, what about people that don't need any of the new features? I prefer stability of a new feature set that I don't 'need'. I personally can't wait for the stable branch of 5.x, but until that, I'm happy with 4.x.
Isn't the GPL invalid and pre-empted by copyright law? (according to them)
Are they using the 'archival backup' copy of the program, and why are they distributing it?
Wouldn't the GPL being proven invalid just replace it with standard copyright law, and if so doesn't that mean that they have NO rights to the code what-so-ever?
That's like trying to mend your relationship with your g/f over the phone, while fucking another girl at the same time.
"I love you, ooooh yes... yes.... No seriously, I'm cummit... commited to this relationship... umf"
What I'm wondering, is with the recent observations about the actual origin of this code...
Well, it strikes me as really hypocritical, SCO can't even keep track of code that they've released as free software, nevermind other code. Yet they continue to bash the Linux buisness model.
Actually, that very same box is serving as a pretty nice Quake 3 dedicated server for my little lan going on here.
So you have fun with your NT, and Code Red.:)
That's funny, my P120Mhz FreeBSD 4.8 system over here with one 1.6gig drive, and another 2gig drive can copy a 17MB file, from one partition to another, in less than 20 minutes. I have decided that you are either 1) Hopelessly retarded and couldn't set up a system to save your life (of course, you will claim that I am merely a BSD troll flaming down on you for bashing my 'pride and joy', but hey, whatever makes you feel better about your incompitanc), or 2) Full of shit.
FreeBSD has NEVER given me performance problems, and performance, is honestly one of the reasons I choose it above all else.
But again, hey, it's a free world, do what you like.
I can just see it now,
"I'm humping you, see my character going back and forth, oh yeah, finger yourself babe, I want to hear you moan, oh yeah, oh YEAAAAAAAH, OH SWEET JESUS THANK MICROSOFT FOR GIVING ME THE CHANCE TO GET LAID!"
By research, you mean read slashdot and restate what they've already said?
Not bashing IBM's lawyers, or what they're doing, but I think it's retarded to run around screaming 'YEAH, IBM OWNZ0RED THEM' or 'This is some good research by IBM' or whatever the hell you guys are calling it, because really, it's not.
Hans has already addressed this point: The script that creates the comparison tables divides the other filesystems by the base filesystem. The problem is that Reiser4 was used as the base filesystem in one of the benchmarks, but not the other. So in one benchmark, green is good, and the other benchmark, red is good.
I would have fixed this before posting to lkml, but I had to catch a plane, sorry about that.

Following trends, the only difference in bot AI from now, and 20 years later will be as followed:
You frag a bot, it's dead body falls to the ground, and suddenly everything freezes for a second as the bot gets back up just long enough to order a sub from SubWay(tm), mhmmm, that's good.

But 4.x kicks it ass in stability, which is why it's the stable branch, which is why 'fuck 4.x' was a very newbish thing to say.
Don't even TRY to claim that 5.x is more stable than 4.x. heh.
Fuck 4.x? You're a newb, aren't you?
It has XFree86 and I have it installed on a Pentium 120Mhz, so what I know about *you.
1) You're an idiot.
2) You need to get laid.
Well fuck them; I want some of this pizza.

They should make another south park movie, this time with all the SCO execs right beside Satan, all jolly and gay, slapping Saddam's ass.
What I'm wondering, is with the recent observations about the actual origin of this code...

Actually it's the other way around, God should sue SCO because their "creation" is a derivative of earth.
Deja vu?
SCO is just upset because the average Linux user gets laid more than them.
My ISP (http://www.sympatico.ca), offers both webmail and pop3, on the same account.
So I can check to see if I have new email from wherever, and still use pop3 to save it, etc.

...and unlike everyone else here, you're both morons.

Yeah, and let me guess, you haven't tried to compile anything on RedHat 9.0 yet? :)

I love how people bicker about OS shit so much, I mean, fuck people, use what works for YOU and shut the FUCK UP!
It's not like anyone elses personal decision directly affects you anyway, so stop acting like someone ran over your kid.
I guess I'm a loser and a lamer in some trolls mind. God, this sucks, I should just go shoot myself now.
Is it just me, or are certian sections of our species not evolving like the rest of us....
IE also doesn't support such crack addict features such as stability, and security.
Oh, right, tabbed browsing is for terrorists. Pop up ad blocking? Those companies need to make their money too!
GO GATOR!
