Well if ever someone had an axe to grind its this fella. Obviously some Linux using PHP coder slept with his girlfriend or worse. How dare he go ballistic at LAMP and call it the BASIC of the new generation, that in itself is crazy as a lot of business apps are derived from VB! I learned to work with PHP and MySQL because of its availability and its cost, to jump into ASP and SQL server would have a cost a lot of money that beginners just dont have.
Im sure Ive heard this talk for the last 15 years. But hey here we are in 2005, a good 25 years (yes a quarter of a century) since x88/x86 technology was brought to market and its still going strong.

Same idea, buy small jar of coffee, recreate barcode and print then pop it on a large jar next time. Got away with it for year too as the cash register only displayed the first 8 or so digits of what was going through the scanner "NESCAFE" etc.
And after charging it I watched it run and once it hit 50% it dropped straight to 4% and the warnings all came on.
Brand new bttery kasted about an hour with nothing running.

This idea has been used before, I know sometimes when I email folks I have to jump through a load of hoops for it to actually get received by them.
Mailing lists are a nightmare too, as would be getting any kind of automated response (invoices from online shopping etc) through.
