  1. feminist research?! on Why There's No Nobel Prize In Computing · · Score: 1

    "feminist research"

    LOL!

Either you are an idiot or a cuckold.

Feminism is not a science. Feminism is a political view, not science.

Why not apply for "democrat research" or "republican research", or "nazi research".

  2. Here, robust statistics might be bad on Using Averages To Bend the Uncertainty Principle · · Score: 1

Here, robust statistics might be bad. Normally, I would say, robust statistics is superior to the crap called "parametric statistics, based on the junk "arithmetic mean", etc.

Yet, I would guess that the few outliers of interest here would have been missed by the Buick version of statistics - the median. Hence, the AMC Pacer would win hands downs as it would steer away for any folly in its way.

What do you cite if you're on a tight budget? The free stuff, not necessarily the most "relevant" stuff (said the cynic, in me, too); here, the relevant stuff may be cited in the free stuff, so why not, the logical chain is there.

Good, now make two versions, one International version and one US version.

The international version should be the gold version, with the US version a crippled version which honors all the software patent follies going on in the US.

The rest of the world should just ignore their sissy talk.

Let us hope that Apache don't respect US software patents outside the US.

Is Android a next gen KDE competitor? Android is after all essentially a desktop environment, but also a layer isolating the Linux kernel. Despite being a childishly avid KDE-fanboy I imagine that neither KDE or Gnome will "make it", get total dominance on the Linux desktop. Therefore, what are the chances that Qt, controlled by a "Microsoft controlled" Nokia, could be considered a risk by Google ... Hmmm... Ramblings, as I could not not fit the pieces together, and I'm getting very offtopic... Help me out! Still, the Android factor is probably too important to forget here, even for the pc.
