    They'd have to make it so you'd be required to leave the receipt behind. Otherwise, you have opportunities for voter intimidation (shenanigans as you stated). Imagine a couple of thugs waiting outside, and taking your receipt to insure you voted the way they had instructed.

    In other words: the sole meaningful result of a photo id requirement is that minorities are denied a vote.

    Just because some people can't be bothered to get an ID doesn't equate to them being denied. Now, if you can show that there is any additional burden imposed upon those people, then you've got a case. Until then, it's nothing but race-baiting.

    And, just to be clear, I'm not implying that there haven't been instances of people trying to manipulate elections, or purposefully deny the vote...by both sides. But, those cases need to make national news, and jail the offenders.

    If you've already registered, that should have passed muster for being legally allowed to do so. You should only then need any legally valid ID, no matter what address it has....it's ID, not proof of address.

    Let's just clarify a couple things.

    First, it was never the "standard deal" for anyone to get classified messages to their private mail, for any of her predecessors. If you have any evidence to the contrary, please let the world know.

    Second, the State Dept. policy changed in 2005, so let's not compare apples and oranges.

    In general terms, fusion reactors would create far less radioactive material than a fission reactor, the material it would create is less damaging biologically, and the radioactivity "burns off" within a time period that is well within existing engineering capabilities for safe long-term waste storage.

    We use the "half plus seven" rule of thumb. If the female is less than half your age, plus seven years, she's too young for you. So, that would be 17.5 in the case of the 21 yr. old. And yes, I know most Slashdotters would fail the test.

    Unless someone happened to be looking up and got hit in the eye by some of the falling shot, it would be nearly impossible for any damage to occur.

    Humming birds don't have cameras. Nobody gives a shit about an animal staring at them. I would give a shit if you were standing near my property with a telephoto lens, and looking in my windows, likely enough to confront you about it.

    This guy shut it all off on page one! Why review a new OS when all you're going to do is remove all the new features?

    Features? You mean like all the Bittorrent, or the XBox stuff, or the send MS all your data? Or maybe it was Edge, which won't allow me to VPN into work.

    Been using it for a week now, and honestly don't see a single improvement.

    Hmmm. Officially, or not, it's always worked on this, and a couple other machines. Whatever trickle of a charge that's getting through, it's not enough to use the iPad during that time.

    I agree, I've been doing it that way for a long time. I didn't like what they did forcing a version of Explorer with an update once, and it was unusable. I also had to manually remove one update a couple of times that kept breaking my VPN. I skipped over something yesterday about a "fix" for that...haven't tried it yet. http://www.itproportal.com/201...

    When was that? My ASUS machine is only about a year old, so unless it was recently, this shouldn't be the reason, correct? ASUS does have a built in utility to speed up charging, and I've checked to see if something changed, but it doesn't appear so.
