I'm sorry, you're advocating lending a child to this man? Shudder.

He used Comic Sans? And to think I was going to actually read the article!

  3. Re:(Don't) Call Your Congressman! on The Pirate Bay is Here to Stay? · · Score: 1

"The music is NOT yours to distribute. Other people invested large amounts of time, money, and resources into recording and producing the music that you paid for...they are the ones who paid for it, they are the ones who have a right to distribute it." I just choked on my smoothie. No, 'they' are NOT the ones who paid for it, WE - the consumer - fucking well are. In my opinion nobody except the artist(s)/creator(s) involved in MAKING the music in the first place should be able to decide how and whether their music is distributed in such a manner. The rest of the cunts you refer to simply treat music as a business, and I suppose the closest thing you can liken to them 'paying for' it in the first place was their INVESTMENT on which they expected to see a RETURN, i.e. they paid for fuck all mate, think about it.

    Heh heh. Font fascists.

  5. hating microsoft on Is It Wrong to Love Microsoft? · · Score: 1

it's exactly the same as the question in Life of Brian: "What have the Romans ever done for us?" We tend to hate anything that's big and unweildy and probably doesn't have our best interests at heart. But we can't deny that Microsoft has fuelled the industry. Look around you. If it weren't for MS none of this would be here. For better or worse...

  6. If they are planning a browser, on Google Planning Web Browser? · · Score: 2, Insightful

I hope they have something to add to browser use that isn't already covered by Firefox, and I'm not just talking about having the Google logo plastered all over it in an attempt at 'integration'. Otherwise it's going to be what is known as a pointless endeavour.

  7. I live in the UK... on Microsoft Media Center 2005 Reviewed · · Score: 1

and I bought an OEM copy of MC 2005 through work on thursday. It's the only legitimate MS OS I've ever owned. And I'm absolutely gutted that they spent about as much time optimising the My Music feature as Bill spends mailing love letters to liberals. My TV's faster though.

  8. Apparently the real worry is on Broadband Over Power Lines vs. Radio Relayers · · Score: 1

that broadband over powerlines actually causes heavy electricity. Ask Steven Berkoff.

  9. I dunno... on Microsoft Plans WinXP "Reloaded" · · Score: 1

I'm always well-up for the next version of Windows, but this may just dilute the impact of Longhorn for me. And also I thought LH was due out 2006-2007? Reloaded will probably just delay it further.

  10. ....Right... on Windows Tech Writer Looks at Linux · · Score: 1

I just installed RedHat 9.0 on my Athlon 1900XP+ 1gb RAM, and here's my revelation: it's SLOW. Seriously, compared to XP Pro... it's slow! I'm waiting for windows to appear, it takes ages to boot, browsing is a nightmare... it wasn't meant to be this way!

  11. sigh... on New Ultra-Intrusive Pop-up Ads Introduced · · Score: 1

I see things are going to get worse before they get better. If you ask me, the most sure-fire way to make sure I don't ever find out more or buy a product or service, is to advertise it in such an invasive manner. This is practically rape of the mind.
