Does every single email service say that they may keep copies of any/all message(s) ever sent or received for an indefinite period of time and for vaguely defined purposes?
Especially the really heavy users of Excel? The ones who build "models"? Don't tell them, but all that "macro" stuff they build? It's essentially a furball of VB. Furball? Yes, because it's been written by somebody who doesn't know how to program. They just keep whacking at it until it works.
And guess what? It doesn't work in OpenOffice.
I bet you didn't use the magic words:

Oh, I know. I've built out 150k sf in Manhattan. Most of them also use Primavera for that reason (ok, and a few others). It makes makes MS Project look like using spreadsheets for PM by comparison. It's also harder than all get-out to learn to use well.
one of the primary reasons will be a sucky desktop OS. This laptop is supposed to be an enabler. OSX vs Redhat? Which is easier to use?
The people running this project have let their prejudices towards FOSS get in the way of doing what is right for the end users. They wanted something more "hackable"? OSX isn't hackable enough? What, are they planning to change the kernel?
If so, it should not matter for your undergrad degree. As for getting into a good grad school, I have no idea, but again, if it's accredited, it should be looked at in the same light.
No, actually I do. I also understand the difference between commaon usage and dictionary definitions. It's a fucking joke, not an intellectual treatise.

But at least they're not evil about it.
I wonder how long people are going to keep buying that line?
Further, I wonder how long it will be before Google finds itself under some form of regulatory scrutiny surrounding privacy concerns?
I'll drive

my dingbats are aflutter!
Hopefully the corporate approach of CSI won't crush the life out of Black Hat.
From TFA:
Black Hat and CSI will remain separate entities within CMP; both will report to Chris Keating.
Yeah my ancestors are from that lost Celtic tribe: The Sullivans.
what has that gained them over the past 5-10 years?
What is a huge market share and a formidable barrier to entry, Alex?

Most of the books sent to Slashdot for review have words like "Java", "hacks", or "802.11b"
I thought most books had the words "Google", "Apple", or that up-and-comer "Ubuntu".
Oh wait, that's articles. Never mind.
In construction you are usually *very* cost oriented while in IT you hardly ever do cost management.
Huh? Ever done a multi-million dollar enterprise software implementation? Some IT departments have dedicated finance people.
PMI = Project Management Institute
The Project Management Body of Knowledge is where you should start if you are serious about PM. You can buy it online from Amazon, et al.

Haskell: Hi Mrs Cleaver, how's the Beaver?
Mrs. Cleaver: Fine Eddie. And how's your little pecker?
Hope claims that while it is illegal for countries to stake a claim on the moon, it is legal for individuals and corporations to, asshole. :)

Everybody knows those GNU people are a bunch of Commies. :)
try "pedant"
It's a posting in a blog, which is a far cry from an "article".
What happened to Oracle after the opened their new HQ? Cisco's HQ is hardly "palatial" and that is by design.
More on the new HQ jinx
Nope. You can't be under $1.00/share on NASDAQ for more than a month without being delisted.
Never build a headquarters that is a monument to your success. It's the kiss of death.
you'll hear, "Hey babe, I got your provolone, right here! Want a piece? It's on me!"
