I've used Bart PE several times, as well as Knoppix. Bart PE is better for me as I don't know much about Linux (yet). There's a great tool bundled with BartPE that functions like "Ghost", but without all the bloat. Saved my bacon a few times in a short time period a couple of months ago...
Thanks for the link! If it works as advertised, it sounds like a VERY handy tool... I got a Secure USB keychain drive for Xmas (1gb baby! woohoo!) and was wondering how I would put it to use...
Has it occurred to you that perhaps those who are complaining are NOT the same idiots that are snatching up $200 pairs of shoes and $15 CDs??? "Shut up and take it" doesn't work forever, only when there is ignorance or fear in those being bullied.
Bah! I'm so sick of hearing the same old "No Innovation! All the Same!!! One of US!!!" line regarding FPS games from people who obviously DON'T LIKE those types of games. I happen to like them and can name SEVERAL differences in FPS games from title to title. Just because YOU don't like them doesn't mean they all suck or are all the same.
You see the same thing regarding Sports games. I like American Football, so I play the Madden series on my PC. Each game has been UNIQUELY different from those that came before, yet you'd think we were all still playing "10 Yard Fight" if you only read reviews and opinions online instead of playing them yourself. . .
Conversely, I don't care for RPGs and could make a point that THEY have all been the same since the original "Final Fantasy" (or "Zork" and "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", at that). This is obviously NOT the case, but it's what I read every time this subject comes up re: FPS and Sports games.
To those who post this garbage:
We're all impressed that you read "Penny Arcade" and "Gamespy: The Magazine". However, I doubt you've paid them royalties for your opinion, so save the regurgitated editorial for the next blog. THEY might be under the impression that your Standard Internet-Issued Opinion is unique and insightful...
and for other, unrelated reasons, I think you're a Commie-Hugging Troll.
Seriously, it doesn't work. Didn't work in Russia, doesn't work in China. You must be thinking of Communism-on-Paper (aka: "In Theory") where they forgot to factor in Greed and Power.
You can only exchange an OPEN box for a SEALED box of the same flavor. OK... Bring the sealed copy back the NEXT day and exchanging it for cash, new titles, etc...
You can justify you thievery any way you want, but you're still a dirty, rotten, fushing FIEF !!! You deserve to die in prison alongside rapists, murderers and pot smokers for stealing those transmissions.
We could just do as we damn-well please and they can cram 100% of their rapidly-decomposing pie right up their down stroke.
I hope "they" continue to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to fight a concept. Throw good money after the bad! I've given up hope for the current situation and only do what serves MY best interest(s) anymore. I refuse to be the last person in America to figure this out...
I live in NC, but I'd love to watch every Jacksonville Jaguar game without being forced to pay for all 31 other NFL teams every week. My folks in Jax could hook one of these up to their existing broadband connection and stream the feed to me up here in NC, thus foiling the NFL's carefully-laid-out plan to keep that from happening.
Also, you could have the "Away" team stream the video from their market to you in yours if your Home Team is "Blacked Out" due to bad ticket sales... Not exactly what the NFL wants to hear.
And guess who is fronting a LOT of the money that keeps 2 of the major networks afloat???
I work on a Support Desk and talk with Hospital IT folks daily. If you can manage to keep your fingers out of the electrical sockets, they will hire you. You don't even have to be nice to the people you work with! One Hospital had a trained monkey, but they fired him when one of the Regulars blamed him for the poop that had been flung onto the wall.
Since this is Bit Torrent we are talking about, it should be noted that you cannot Download without Uploading. That's what makes it inherently dangerous to those that prize annonymity...
There's NO over-lap? None??? Nobody has EVER been a "Good Customer" while simultaneously being a dirty no-good Pirate (yarr)? Are you SURE about that, or just shooting off your mouth online?
I usually tear out the acct numbers that ARE revealed (last 4 or first 8... either way) and shred that portion into tiny bits, then deposit the remaining portion of the receipt anywhere. My main concern is the trash can at work and the cleaning crew that comes in nightly. . .
Way to miss the point! Also a nice way to avoid discussing the points made in my statement. . .
Had we been discussing availability of food and the ability to duplicate it freely without detracting from the inherent value of the original, your disdainful comments might be valid. Until then, I'll be glad to be considered an asshat by the likes of you.
I haven't laughed that hard since I heard Halo2 in French...
Seriously, though, you "Right to Profit" people need a quick wake-up call to the real world. As the owner of a small business that was put under by dirty-dealing competitors, I can tell you that your "Right to Profit" never existed. You can do just like I did: follow all the rules, work hard and provide a valuable service at a fair price, only to be run out of town on a rail, broke and dejected, through no fault of your own. Right to Profit indeed...
As far as feeling bad and guilty consciences, you may have over-estimated the people of which you speak. The key is to NOT see the rest of the world through your tiny little eyes when you try to figure out how we're all thinking...
Re: if you want one, you have to pay for it. If it costs too much, don't buy it! It's luxury item, you don't need it!
Spoken like a person who has never had to do without. Before you regale us with tales of that time you didn't get a new car for Graduation: save it. People who HAVE gone to bed hungry don't see your noble "Do Without" sentiment in the same light. When "Do Without" and "Take It Without Depriving Anyone Else of Anything" are your only options, we'll all be impressed when you chose to impose unnecessary restrictions on yourself.
Until then, I'll freely sample items for personal use, delete them when I'm done and buy the items I plan on either keeping forever, using in a professional endeavor or would normally buy anyway. All the games and DVDs and MP3s that I can't afford (I have legitimate reasons, but I don't owe you an explanation) are a different story. Spend your time and energy arresting those who sell "pirated" DVDs and games on eBay or the street corner. Those are criminals, and they don't even "play semantics".

Why? Because YOU say so? Because they say so??? Whatever, Mom...
Playing by their rules rocks...

The answer is:
You're Both Losers

/he didn't do it

Also, do we ave your permission if we don't "whine" or think we're "special" and "better"?

"Free Speech is all well and good until they let thuh neegrahs and thuh wimmins get heard."
Then again, you could just be wrong and saying otherwise MIGHT prove nothing...
Just maybe...
