Now that I've found Linux embedded, I will purchase that item I've refused up until now. It's been grossly expensive, hard to charge where I go, and insanely pricey on repairs. But c'mon. Linux, man! I mean, LINUX!/snark
After reading all of the comments thus far, I see the discussion is stuck in a head-butting stalemate.
Much like religion, mathematics will always have people arguing over the issues of its relevancy rather than actually working to find a true solution. No pun intended.

The worst thing for the environment always has, and always will be hippies.
Are hippies really worse than rivers catching on fire? The worst thing for the environment always has, and always will be unregulated corporations.
What about those volcanoes destroying live land all over the planet and adding nasty gasses to the atmosphere?

Mt. Gox, which purports to handle 80% of the entire bit coin exchange business, reported about 2000 bit coins exchanged per day last month. That's 60,000 coins, at a generous valuation of $10 apiece, which is $600,000 US Dollars. The article claims the Silk Road is doing $2 million / month business. So either a lot of people buying are generating their own bit coins, and the sellers mostly aren't exchanging them, or the numbers in the article don't add up.
Counting the number of feedback posts in the forum seems like a particularly bad way to measure number of sales. Particularly when the forum is anonymous and both the site operators and the dealers have a vested interest in there being lots of positive feedback.
It's like renting a storage unit with the contract stating they now own your stuff in there and can take it out for a spin whenever they feel like it.
Hey, as long as you signed an agreement where the fine (read: buried) print indicated they are authorized to do so, plus you don't know when it's happening......
Heins says that RIM took a long, hard look at migrating to Android before deciding to plow forward with BlackBerry 10.
And that's definitely, 100%, without a doubt, not an attempt to draw psychological attention and curiosity toward BlackBerry 10 being better than Android OS to drive sales up. Definitely not.
From article: U.S. missile defense workers have been warned that porn on the job is not allowed. It's not just a question of public security due to distraction, but there's also the risk of computer security due to malware found on many such sites.
So they're running Windows machines. Check. Thanks for the information.:>
You can read about it on the web. Here let me help you. Or are you looking for proprietary information that China and their competitors would dearly love to get ahold of?
Option B would be nice.:)
Anyhow, I'm not referring to people talking about things that they've heard or that have been press-released. I'm talking about inside information that no one but the insiders know about - more specifically, information related to cost cutting and/or time saving with increased safety risk. There isn't information about that out there on the web or, you know, there wouldn't be any safety issues. My point stands.
LOL. All of the companies that won money have nothing but safety being put first. Heck, SpaceX even outdoes the specs that NASA requires and that NASA has not met with any of their old systems. Atlas is being upgraded with many sensors. CST-100? Same way. Then you have DreamChaser which is undergoing similar things.
These are going to be as safe, or more likely even safer, than anything developed to date.
Sweet! Where did you find this information? Does it specify that it is actual inside information from the companies mentioned and detail exactly what they are doing, or is it just publicly released information?:)
You know, childhood behavior that repeats itself throughout life.... "I'm the coolest and best and I want to be recognized FIRST, no matter what it takes"?
So... competition is bad because you saw it on the playground? I take it you don't learn things too gud. A lot of childhood behavior repeats itself throughout your life because the childhood is where you learn about the world. One would be foolish to expect or even desire a childhood completely detached from reality.
Really... was my comment THAT narrow? Think outside the box, please. I can't type everything in detail as it relates to the topic at hand; that would take years.:)
It was a statement to emphasize the repetition of unsafe competitive behavior, in this case, the manufacturing industry of an item that can kill people and damage property.
The City Of London 2012 MacDonalds BT Coca Cola Official Olympic Games (TM) have turned out to be a huge exercise in making money for the sponsors while screwing over the athletes (who aren't allowed to display the logos of the sponsors who have supported them for years) and the local businesses who have been paralysed by traffic restrictions and lost a huge amount because nobody is bothering to go into the city other than for the games.
All the money raised will go towards marketing campaigns to raise funds for the next games, which will in turn go towards marketing campaigns...
Why do you conclude that there is not considerable concern for safety and backup?
Rush... to see who completes first and wins... You know, childhood behavior that repeats itself throughout life.... "I'm the coolest and best and I want to be recognized FIRST, no matter what it takes"?
I wouldn't mind. Everyone knows I'm a regular, old perv, it'd just earn me some street-cred.
True 'dat. And when the neighbors are concerned about the well-being of themselves and their relatives, you can pull the "I was fighting for rights" card. Heh.

Would this one suit your needs?
o(*__*)o /.........\
\O...8==O=D
Almost. There needs to be at least one high ASCII character in it. ;)
So it's time to green light the GoogleMobile project, eh? Hey, there's plenty of moneys to be had in the sale of statistics. ;)

Stop researching stuff. It kills teh stupid. :)

Yeah, free is free as free can be. :)
So RIM's not allowed to market their products now?
Sure they are. And in the method I mentioned, they shall receive ridicule.
*peck*

So are you going to change your ways? You are after all the driver behind this particular stereotype.
...and you have the statistics to prove it. Go ahead. Have the last word.
Actually, that was an AC, not mine. Sweet!
Give it up. Your attempt to pick a fight is going to end with you having the last word one way or another. So go ahead. Have it. :)
Wrong assumption. They could as well run Solaris/SPARC with Firefox, and getting infested with XSS and JavaScript viruses.
Maybe I should expand.... In my comment there is a ":>" at the end. :> = humor.

So basically, you have no evidence besides what you think stereotypically happens?
Thanks for verifying it for me. There is a driver behind all stereotypes.

I forget. What is this "Olympics" thing? :>
I move that Google+ should be renamed Google+ RTM. Rush being the key word. Lack of planning and proper procedural modelling.

"Patent and Copyright Wars Gone Wild"
Really? I was wondering when this was going to happen.
