  1. Open source at Princeton on Slashback: Princeton, Terror, Farscape · · Score: 2, Informative

I research in the CS department at Princeton, and am a member of many open-source development projects. So before somebody attacks the entire school, just know that most people GPL their work.

China, and Asia's, only downfall is that they want to be self-dependent. This is going to cause a premature golden-age and will almost definitely fail. Why fear weapons of mass destruction up in orbit anyways? They are just for show and tell, be scared about biological weapons since they are easier to make, maintain and deploy. Oh, did I say CHEAP.

Good job China. At least someone is exploring.

Marriage isn't a disease, neither are kids. They are decisions in one's life. I have been more creative after getting married, but I just lack the time to develop and implement them. These are just life decisions and rearranging of time. Look at Feynman, he was obsessed with women! Still created how much at Cornell and Caltech?

  8. Response on Inside Electronic Voting Machines · · Score: 2, Insightful

If you have dead people voting, then the non-electronic systems aren't perfect. What we can do is realize that both are flawed and just work at improving the systems.

We could have some hasing system to track where and who votes while still keeping privacy. Other stated ideas are open source code. What about using state-school run voting servers? Just having series of mirrors that politicians can't touch. There are many possibilities out there, so lets refine instead of announcing its failure.
