The power thing is somewhat a fallacy for 90nm (I must admit I don't know what power numbers Intel are quoting for the P4's).
The static power (quiescent) is certainly higher than for, say, 130nm processes, but the dynamic (operating) power isn't really that much more.
Yeah, this was a nut on the top of the throttle lever that had worked it's way loose - I actually found the nut resting on some other part of the engine and did the repair there and then...
Alas, I made the move out of development to the Dark Side of Marketing (I actually typed "Darl" Side, when I first wrote this - must be a freudian slip) about four years ago because it looked easy and fun (all those freebies and lunches). I hate it.
I'm moving back as soon as I possibly can...
Yeah, but we never set bombs to destroy innocent victims did we? Yes, the empire was taken in blood - many, many years ago - that's when we ruled the whole of Ireland - get your history right - It wasn't right, but it happened...
So now you believe that killing innocent people is OK? Two wrongs make a right? We f*cked up and it was the norm in those days, but I wouldn't agree with it now - I'd still be against it if Slashdot were around then...
The government controls the do not fly lists, not the airlines. The same goverment who do *NOT* have Osama bin Laden on that list.
Remember back int he '80's when we used to ridicule the USSR for their citizens having to carry around their papers for ID? So the US is turning into '80's russia in the name of security?
The Bush adminerstration hasn't stopped a terroist attack - the do not fly list will not stop an attack - the guys who flew on 9/11 were not on any list - the color terrorism alerts will not stop an attack - *nothing* can prevent an attack except not having enemies in the first place (which is pretty impossible).
Terrorism didn't start on 9/11/01 - the IRA (Irish Republican Army) had been killing innocent British people for 20 years previously, but nobody in the US cared then, did they? And terrorism was around long before that...
I agree that the Taliban were a pretty bad bunch and Al Queada need an ass whooping, but I can see no logical reason for war in Iraq - apart from impressing daddy....
and "spelt" is spelled "spelled" - no such word as spelt; although actors are encouraged to pronounce words ending with the letter 'd' as a 't' sound...
No, that's not $125K per week - that's per episode.
Each episode takes approximately 6 months to make, so that's $250K per year - that's not a whole lot for TV stars...
First of all, I generally agree with most folks sentiments - I've got quite a few albums, where I like 2-3 tracks and the rest is rubbish.
However, I also have albums where I would never had listened to the "non-singles" unless I had bought the album, and I would have missed out on some of my favorite songs...
As one of the "scum of the earth" (I'm a marketing engineer, but not in the music industry), I can see the value of bundling a couple of tracks in with the "feature" track - but ONLY IF THE PRICE REMAINS THE SAME - that way, you get to listen to some of the artists other stuff and if you really don't like it, delete it. You'll have lost nothing (apart from a bit of bandwidth/time in the download) and the artist/record label will have had the chance to "market" the other tracks by the best/cheapest medium - word of mouth...
I'd be interested to know what you guys think of bundled tracks at no extra cost?
Well, I doubt that Intel are going to put a SERDES on the CPU (Needed for PCI Express Physical Layer), so my guess is that they use a standard MPI to interface a PCI Express Root Complex (Which would then handle the Memory Interface and the Interface to the PCI Express Switch).
Seems like they may be a scapegoat - their CEO says that they didn't do it - thats the same amount of evidence that says that Microsoft didn't do it...
Are we believing the Microsoft Marketing Machine when they say that their security was not breached?
I mean, they've never had security issues before have they?
No, no, no... Use this Mirror...
Well, yes, that is true.
To help alleviate this problem, as process technology gets smaller, so does the core operating voltage - 90nm devices typically run at 1.0V or 1.2V.

Well, they aren't exactly "keyless" are they? You just pull out the keycard thingy...
And like any normal person, I put it in neutral and turned the ignition off...
Does the speed get affected by the Lunar Cycle?
;-)

And you are a Native American Indian, yes?
That may be THE most sensible thing I've read since 9/11 - thank you...

$9,397.95 is "more then $10,000"?
weird...

I've flown 199 missions and was shot down in every one....Come to think of it, I've never landed a plane in my life!
Yeah, Thunderbird allows you to get pop3 email...Firefox doesn't ;-)
Didn't Scott Adams work for AT&T? Perhaps he's used to hidden charges....
You're a Zealot.

I think you and I wrote that at the same time...
Jinx!

No, erm..Sorry you got the wrong number - This is 91..erm...2!

Hey,
I'm still amazed, having worked in the telecom industry for 12 years, that every time I pick up the 'phone, I get a dial tone...
Amazing...
Really?
How exactly do you know that?
Seems like they may be a scapegoat - their CEO says that they didn't do it - thats the same amount of evidence that says that Microsoft didn't do it...
