what? as far as i could tell they just aired the entire idiotic macgruber skit where the entire dialog is "pepsi". they showed the same skit DURING SNL the night before. what am i missing?
1: that's not computer science. that's software, software engineering (maybe), programming. computer science is the theory and history of computer programming from an unbiased (read: non-implementation point of view). so, objects, data structures, logic flow, operating system theory.
2: you went to the wrong school. why did you stay there for so long?
these two problems are easily corrected with time and effort. it sounds like you are interested, that is step one. step two would be jumping in. you use gnu/linux, so you know what has to be "fixed" from your point of view. find an easy one. get the code, fix it and ask for help if need be and you have exhausted all the effort in obtaining your own answers.
that's why he's talking about sheilded wire. but yeah, the loss over long runs will be way to big to have any quality or amplitude left over at the speaker end, even if you do crank the knob
looks like 48VDC maybe a new standard? aren't cars moving toward 48v? or was that 42? no, that's life the universe and...
i was prolly going to use 12v because the wind turbine i'm planning uses used car alternators. although i could put them in series to get 48V. sweet...
not everyone who is woeful of apple and others' DRM efforts doesn't "believe in intellectual property".
as far as i can tell the (last macgruber of the night) snl skit was just re-aired during the superbowl. how is this a parody?
what am i missing?
supposed to be in the superbowl ads post. wtf?

my iphone gets much less reception than my pearl does. so i get little to no gsm buzz. my pearl would buzz any speaker within a meter or so.
i'm using cmvc at the company that "created" it. derivative or not.
it's hellish in certain ways and great in others.
hey, i went to rpi as well.

maybe the poster meant $2.5?
maybe that $ is actually chillean pesos?
link no workie,
can't find references to the article
the processors will continue to use more power... given current technology.
so fret not thyne egg fryer for your AMD powered stovetop shall still run hot!
WTF kind of tower/ctr are you using that uses that much power??
me thinks you dropped a couple of decimal places on that one
i have something to say on that:
"don't do it"
simple enough. they are still converting even though it's more efficient than normal since there is smaller load.
especially since i use several UPSes which add another layer of inefficiency.
i want an efficient AC to DC UPS which connects directly to a DC powersupply for my box(en).
that would rock.
don't get me started on an entire DC house running off of a fuel cell and/or wind/water generators. woot!
there is also the whole java "isn't open" argument, of which i'm still not sure whose side i'm on.
go ask RMS...
mod parent up!
of course, one can also have gender traits which vary from one's sex even if culture does not "permit".
i keep thinking of stewie on "the family guy". hehe.
or two!
yay! peace and quiet!
or so the saying goes
are mostly of pointing and laughing as i had just moved out of NYC. ;-)
it was pretty insane to see aerial pictures of NYC (no not the fake "satelite", gimped ones where they used a black smudge tool over the northeast.
change is hard to produce. it's co$$$t$$$
emerge sync && emerge -UD world
to get totally up to date. of course you should be doing this regularly anyway.
cheers!
