Agreed. I saw a documentary on Discovery or the History channel regarding religion and Hollywood. Most of it was outside the scope here, but what caught my attention was that a Christian group put together enough money to make the "Left Behind" book series into movies. You could go to your church, watch the movie, and then buy a copy to take home. This, I believe, is the beginning of the new motion picture market. Simultaneous release of the DVD, with some atmosphere on the side. In fact, I'd like to see the Barnes and Noble model applied: a giant video store with screens set up so you can watch the movie in the store. Throw in a few people taking drink and food orders and there's your concession business. Just as long as they don't charge $7 for popcorn and a Coke.
I'm usually comfortable at all times, so I can only relate the least comfortable job I had. I fix laptops. After a management change, the new regime (who worked previosly at an integration shop) decided that all the techs were lazy and took all of our chairs. The reason, he said, was two-fold. Mainly, he didn't want us to be comfortable because comfortable people tended to relax. Relaxation killed productivity. In addition, having a bunch of techs just sitting around didn't look professional. Needless to say, after about 2 hours of bending over a waist high desk swapping IBM ThinkPad system boards had me looking for a new job. Fast.
One of the front line, bottom tier guys at the ISP I used to work at explained to a user that our DS3 connection (that was disconnected by MCI for nonpayment) was chewed through by beavers. If pressed for details, he would tell them that beavers like nesting in the trunks.
I'm gathering from the report that they're not sure if it's the coffee or the types of people drinking the coffee that drops the risk. I guess it all comes down to the fact that when your time's up, it's up. Smoke if you got 'em.
According to the AP story, they suspect he was trying to test his vaccine.

The only reason I even keep a Windoze box around is to play video games. The end of M$ is nigh!
Yeah but since PATRIOT, everything is a valid search...
