I think AOL is putting this out way too late. Other messanger servieces such as Gaim and Trillian have had encryption in for a while now. These services also have a lot of other features that make them superiour to the aim client. Why get AIM?
the tighter that you grasp the more consumers will slip through your fingers seriously this is probably not going to get very far off the ground. It will cause an uproar and having your customers hate you really does not go well for any company. Even if M$ does somehow get this through there hasn't been a security measure that has not been cracked. It willl only be a matter of time.
I was looking at some stuff on the web relating to WASTE and found an entry from Justin's blog:

Since he probably has rights to speak for the company this may actually be perfectly fine GPL release. If he didn't release it or if he does not have permission then AOL may start putting out a lot of lawsuits to mirrors soon
I agree The second movie's plot took a lot more thinking and close attention to understand. I think it made perfect sense but I had to spell it out for my friends.
Although I do believe that some of it was almost too obscure. I mean one line by Smith changes nearly the whole equation of what will happen in the future
