I'm glad that they are gonna take it slow in the conversion from Windows to Linux. It can be a pain if you don't and they might be apt to halt the transfer if any signs of dissatisfaction are detected.
I'm sorry to say but the Vietnamese(at least the ones I know) still hold Ho Chi Minh (sorry bout sp) in high regard( or at least not hating). The US did far more damage to the Vietnamese then the N.V.
I have never heard from anybody I know (many are quite close to computer illiterate) who have clicked on these ads. I think it is hard to mistake them for error messages or anything else, but I do agree that even the attempt to decieve users is wrong.
I really think that when buying a computer they should give a little standard definition of common computer terms. therefore they may get something close to what they want.
there is no possible way for them to enforce this.Even if they did I could imagine the headline...
1/3 of population rounded up in latest crackdown on downloading.... story at 11
Wasn't project prometheus about dropping the Nukes out the back and channelling the explosions to provide the proper lift? I dunno if that is really enviormentally sound
this whole spam thing is like an arms race. The more laws and regulations and filters that are created the more sophisticated spammers become. my suggestion is to just make spammers register and leave their name address IP and credit card number on all spam. Then the fun can begin.
other then the gee-whiz factor I don't think it will catch on too much. Why would a hotel spend the extra money when they don't need to and why would a regular joe ever need a mirror/tv? That is unless people really become that vain and tv addicted.
SCO is gonna have a hard time fighting IBM if this article is true. now instead of Linux copying UNIX UNIX copied Linux. Now they are gonna have to be dodging lawsuits and trying to stay out (or go into) bankruptcy. I do have a few concerns.
Why would SCO risk the reprecussions of violating the GPL.
Why would they take such a risky venture if they knew that they were on legally shakey ground.
Why are they still witholding the lines of alleged copied code. Is it because they can be easily removed?(almost assured) or is it because they themselves contributed it to Linux?(somewhat likely)
Lastly, this whole confrentation with Novell is a bit disturbing. If they investigated this correctly before filing suit they should have known that the copyrights were never officially transferred. why didn't they ask for the transfer before the lawsuit started?
I don't really have answers just questions. enjoy trying to find answers.

they also fail to mention the possibility of these hard disks getting lost or stolen. Or better yet the station wagon getting stolen by some idiot...

I can see what will happen next.... WAR ON INFORMATION wait a sec... that is happening right now...crap
The RIAA had to add a new feeling of rebellion to filesharing...just when it was starting to feel normal too. silly RIAA
their is no tinfoil...
I think it is nice that they are trying to improve themselves but I think that they would have profitted more by doing this earlier.
I wish I got hatemail like he did...
errr excuse sp!
