Free services provide almost no additional value. They don't 'do' much of anything. And honestly Googledrive is VERY clunky if you use it for >1 device on a single account. But it free (or nearly free e.g I pay $5/year for an old 40GB account). Dropbox has to do something on top of that if they expect to charge money.

They don't want 'talent' they want dirt cheap. If they could figure out a way to make everyone an unpaid intern which was only 1% as productive as GOOD talent they'd do that. And bringing in a few thousand H1B's is a political ploy to avoid getting slammed for sending the OTHER 3 million jobs to Asia. In ten years there won't be any tech jobs in the US. Wake the fuck up.

In the late 1970's the UK seriously considered abandoning its nuclear force since it was unaffordable and the country was broke. So there's a good chance that if their option is to spend all that money building a new submarine base, which would take years and years before it's operational then they may decide to toss all of it. They're not thrilled with leaving France as the sole European nuclear power but there you have it. And the upside is that when Britain becomes another insane caliphate, at least they won't have atomic weapons.

That's where they set your profile so that you are the only person who sees your comment. This is so Alcoholic Drew the Will Weaton Wannabe can get viewers to click ad-revenue without dirtying up Drew's world with unpleasant things. BTW, Salon.com does this too, in case you need a benchmark of Drew's "bravery".
I've said for years that you need to charge people to speak. Even charge them to read. Ideas are only useful to the degree we agree with them and all dissent must be crushed.
