And, if VMware are sensible, they'll have their product recompiled for os x from the get go, especially if OS x intel will work on generics, just imagne the amount of unused windows licenses...
If you find this unacceptable, then write to your mp! You don't even have to leave your computer if they don't use email- writetothem.com will do the hard work for you!
Sadly, having lived with a finn for nigh on five years, the only word I understood was the last one.
I use it frequently when my normal vocab is undesired...
Or at least until someone decides not to settle. I would suggest that, procedural issues aside, there is so little case law that a defendant could represent him/herselves, or that an itinerant lawyer may be persuaded for shits and giggles? Certainly in the UK, the clerk of the court is there to offer advice of that nature to both parties and the judge.
Personally, if the riaa/bpa decided to send me a summons, I'd be all over them like a cheap suit (speaking as someone with a net worth of -£areasonablefigure)
you don't need a license if you don't watch TV. even if you have a TV but only use it for watching videos you're fine.
Well, you can try, but the fee is levied on all apparatus capable of receiving tv broadcasts.
So unless you've removed all the RF stages from both your TV & VCR, you can expect a hefty fine. (assuming that you're daft enough to allow the inspectors access to your property...)
When satellite was still new, this argument was frequently used and repeatedly shot down by the courts.
Yeah, but anyone who claims to talk for them doesn't- try to find who they are, and you'll find that it's all a bit secretive! The GP obviously hangs out on nanae...
Fair comment, but I think it is important to continually push home the point that currently, under normal circumstances, file sharers aren't criminals.
I work for a Students' Union, and I had the pleasure of going on a residential for entertainment managers of these establishments, and what astonished me was the fact almost none of these people, not without influence as a group, had no concept that copyright violation was anything but theft.
With this mindset, it is only a matter of time before what, quite rightly, is a civil matter is completely under the perview of criminal law. And then wwe're up the creek without a paddle.
Well, there's your issue.
If they are suing, then it isn't a criminal offence.
As we all know, theft has a very clear definition, whereas with downloading music, the actual crime, if any, has yet to be decided. And it won't be decided until the RIAA actually take someone to court!
Yes, there is. I can;t recall the name, but it's made by antares (of autotune fame).
quick google brings us Kantos...
As to how well, it works? Good question! It's too late in the day for me to see if there's a demo, but you could always report back for us?
At the moment, I don't believe there is a way (short of buying it). That is until they bring the new digital archives on line.
And assuming you're a UKian... (or proxied through one)
I found out today that it is actually illegal to make idle threats with regards court action. If the BPI/RIAA threaten you with court, just say 'go on'. If they can't make it stick, or turn around and say 'no' and try to push for an out-of-court settlement, then you'vee grounds to counter sue.
Local spelling, for local people. It's the way forwards!
Is that the sound of 'substantial, non-infringing uses?' for p2p? NIce!
Of course we used to have that. It's called Gopher...
Reminisce!

Nice. I keep meaning to raid the next skip I see, but I was never sure what to do with the proceeds. Now I do!
Now my curiosity is piqued! What are you running?

"reasonable man"- Also known as the "man on the Clapham Omnibus", for you trivia fans!
Well, it tickled me as I was trawling through H&S literature...
Hope it doesn't catch on over here, otherwise I'm out of a job!
If only I knew enough finnish to make that distinction- a reflection both on the difficulty of the language and my profound inability to learn it!
Sadly, having lived with a finn for nigh on five years, the only word I understood was the last one.

But you can enable it...
Worked like a charm for me. (YMMV)
Hear Hear! I've been waiting for someone to write what I was thinking!

Radio 4's 'listen again' feature will generally do it...
