They have no contacts with the logging companies that I know of and spend a lot of time regulating them.This link has the stats for georgia, including numbers on how many acres have been reforested etc... There are similar sites for most other states that show generally the same thing. You can also hit some rainforest watch pages that will give you the stats on who is destroying what and how much. But I don't have any links handy for those.

Oh bloody hell, this is more rediculous than the people who demand a recall on a product because 20 children over 5 years got killed doing something stupid on it. Those numbers are negligible! Take the windmills out, and I bet the bird deaths don't drop by more than a few percent. Birds die. It happens, get over it. An extra 90 birds a year, Heck an extra 900 birds a year isn't going to make a dent in the species population. 1 million? HAH! PSX2 has already sold over 20 million and is still going strong. 1 million in sales is a drop in the bucket compared to what Sony generates. Also Sony is NOT taking a loss on their consoles, they are profiting around $120 per console, plus their profit from games licensing etc... While Microsoft IS losing money on each console and hoping to make it up in games and suck up marketshare. Sony has already made their money back plus a big chunk of profit and will probably drop the PSX2 price down at christmas to undercut all of the competitors. I gaurantee that MSFT won't make another generation of consoles after Sony beats the shit out of them in the market this year and next.

Bah! that happened at my last corporate support job and we spent 3 weeks putting copies of Mcafee on each machine by hand, and then had to manually update them because it was 'cost prohibitive' to do it any other way... Yeah, like it could really cost more to get centrally manager software than it was costing in man hours for the Sys Admin, the DB Admin, and the Network Admin, to go from machine to machine updating AV files...
Having to keep the entire documentation of every piece of software in use within your company is going to take up a LOT of space... Seems like it would be more efficient to just leave net access on for the people who need it....
And who my friend is going to tell the VP that, No he CAN'T download that 22mb 3D screensaver, and no he CAN'T send that 17mb file through e-mail. It happens a lot, after all of the new security went into place at the Atlanta airport some guy accidentally walked in with a pistol. When he realized he had it in his coat pocket he found the nearest guard and apologized and explained, they talked to him for about 45 minutes I think and then took the gun and agreed to return it to him when he came back through the airport. As far as I know everything worked out fine, but this guy wasn't even trying to get the gun in there, he just happened to have it in his coat pocket.
Someone attempting to high jack a plain that *I* am on with a Glass knife, a box cutter, or anything that requires them to be in arms reach to kill me isn't going to get very far. I carry an 8inch heavy plastic baton around with me as my weapon of choice for self defense. It weighs about 4.5 lbs, gets through metal detectors, and will quickly knock someone unconcious. It's also excellent for disarming morons that think a switchblade or a hunting knife is sufficient to mug me with, or to highjack a plane. Hell, even without that knife defense is a large part of martial arts and I've been trained to deal with pretty much anyone who isn't a knife fighting specialist. I just don't see how 3-4 guys with box cutters took over a plan... It's absurd! What kind of pathetic losers were on the 3 planes that got crashed into buildings? Oh wait, I know what kind, the kind that listen to the police when they tell you 'Don't resist, you're more likely ro survive.' Bull Shit! If you don't resist you're just as likely to die as if you resist unarmed, and twice as likely to die as if you resist armed. But the cops try to condition the populace to be passive and rely on the police force to save them, BAH! The cops have never done shit for me, when my car was stolen my Mother in Law found it and got it back, not the cops. They didn't do shit.
