Good. Microsoft could keep their hands out of this. My friends and I all have AIM. Ok, if multiple vendors wish to put out various chat software, at least allow them to communicate with each other.
"Hey Bob, I thought you said you would be on AIM last night. I had to talk to you." "Well, I tried the new Yahoo chat. It's cool. Only thing is, my wife Brenda likes eShare chat she just found."
I didn't buy the Dreamcast, with the awesome graphics and all. I waited. I had too many bitter and pretty fresh memories with my purchases of prior Sega failures. Sure, the genesis was pretty cool, but buying the peripherals-Sega CD and 32X anyone? Dropped after not much software support. Once again quite fortunately, the Saturn came out and where did that go? Nowhere. I'm glad I didn't buy into that. Sega should sink by the wayside, and stop wasting a childs or parents hard-earned money. I will enjoy my next generation nintendo Dolphin and Sony Playstation2 games. I will not buy into another Sega failure. Or maybe, I will wait another 6 months and pick up a Dreamcast in the clearance bin for 29.99 if there are enough games that I can get for 5 bucks each.

Being a computer geek, I know what you mean. Alas, I am still a new geek, and have only worked in 2 place with IT jobs. I agree with your post fully, except for:
Working with the fancy hardware is no excuse for them paying you nothing to work 60 hour weeks. Stand up - take the power back. Or unplug the server if you're the introverted type. =)
I would love to, but if I don't, the company will find some schmuck that will. And quite likely, some schmuck that will do it for less money. That is the way of the world.
On microsoft all the same. I have posted it on other forums and been slammed that it's old news, and have been applauded, but you may not have seen it before. Be sure you read the description before clicking the link for full effect.
Hee hee!
New Microsoft Keyboard: Microsoft today released a radical new keyboard, that trims down the number of keys to just the ones used most often. Some claim that the keys on this keyboard are the only ones they ever use while running Windows 98. Shown was the PS/2 version, but a USB model is also available. Check it out at the link below.
I did see that. I am not looking for my name on slashdot for use as a domain name. Although this does sound like a good idea. If I get the domain name www.typingsux.com, do you think I can sell it to one of the Voice recognition software companies someday?
I have been following the emulation scence since I discovered MAME around the time when version.26 came about.(approximately) It is the coolest thing. I waste enough on my time on my computer playing with MAME games. Help me if I ever get anything done if this becomes widespread.
I would like to patent a super-cooler that you can wear. Lord knows this world can use it. There are now 6 billion of us lurking about We'll place it on males to cool their libido.
If you are staring blankly at say, your computer monitor, you would be viewin it serially. If you are staring at your computer monitor at savory JPEGS, it would be digitally, with your digit in your hand.
I am 30 now, and I know what you mean by what time would do to memories. The friend I witnessed it with moved to Florida, (From NY). I did not see him for many years. Funny , when I was about 25, I took a bus. He was the bus driver. (Small world.) One of the first things he brought up while we were catching up is the UFO. The UFO is one thing of a few that I do remember like it happened yesterday.
They may be out there. As a youngster growing up in the city of NY, I was an astronomy enthusiast, skyglow and all. One night I was out with my 60mm refractor, and my friend. (We were about 10. I had not experimented with marijuana yet, so that's not it.) I was looking at Jupiter, and he goes.... Larry, put the telescope on that!!! It was red, kind of saucer shaped, and its flight behavior was not of the earthly type. It was moving to quickly to get the scope on it. And it was only a few seconds before it zipped away.
This just goes to show you that lightning is predominantly male.
How often have you seen "boob" lightning?
Washing the dishes
Taking out the garbage
Cooking
Going to the bathroom
Eating
Breathing
Drinking
Dying
This article really ticks me off!
Boo hoo.
I wouldn't watch it again if you gave me the movie and paid me. It just plain sucked.

WTF?
It's a dirty job but someone has to do it.
Saw this guy on TLC here in the US. I give him credit. Who will ever really know how many lives he may have saved with his work.

Oh no, then I'd be a Cybersquatter
Go to www.networksolutions.com and get miffed.
I cannot get anything normal anymore, somebody bought it up.
I gotta pay some jerk for the name now, more than the 70 bucks for two years.
Or, I can find some stupid, long drawn out URL.
Well, you can say that this is free enterprise in action. And we should all have a right to this.
BS
The little guy gets hurt as usual.
No sense crying.... Boo hoo.
Off topic, and minus me a point for this post?
Slashdot has to be more careful who the allow to moderate forums.
Stupid statement.

Stop the population explosion!!
There was a Y1K bug,

Who gave me a -1 on redundancy?
If you would look, I was the first to post.
Duh....
I can think of a couple of reasons.
Elle Macpherson.
Terri Hatcher.
Daisy Fuentes.
Claudia Schiffer.
(Favored in no particular order, I just went with who I thought of first.)
