Not that I don't think HTML5 will have a huge impact in the future, it's just, I don't know why anyone would make a professional application in it *at the moment*. Better to stick with something that is mature and fully adopted.
You mean like (X)HTML4.x(strict|transitional), which is perfectly cohesive, and has identical and unchanging support across all modern browsers?
Who said anything about that? Your comment above is completely incorrect, that's the issue here. H.264 is in fact the dominant video format on the web right now, so your post is just blatantly misleading and/or ignorant.
Will someone with mod points please mod parent down? People around here are prone to believing things like Flash is a video format instead of a container format.
Really? I got almost nothing but spam from Facebook, which is why I signed off. The whole thing seems like one big socially-engineered spam virus to me. The ratio of real human communication to spam from some applet or group is like 1 to 10.
And yet, every story that's even tagentially related to Apple is completely spewed with sophomoric crap from Apple-hate-fanboys like you, modded insightful. And claims that anyone who dares slander Apple gets modded to oblivion. Witness below.
If people hate Apple's tactics, fair enough. What I do think is utterly ridiculous is this recent pro-Flash line that's been going around, as if Flash and Adobe aren't at least as much of a scourge as Apple.
If you hate anything proprietary and any kind of tech lock-in, then you hate both Apple and Adobe. But the Apple-hate crowd jumping on the bandwagon and acting like Flash is getting some kind of raw deal is pure hypocrisy.
Where did all the Apple haters go? I thought Flash was "the whole internet" and "drop-dead gorgeous", and big evil Apple was ruining everything by using their mystical powers of mind control and beating up on poor little Adobe.
Oh, I see, everyone just took off their Apple hater hats and put on their Flash hater hats.
All I know is I recently coded up my band's website to inlude ogg support for songs, so Firefox could play them without Flash (via jPlayer). In ogg mode, the audio stutters and struggles, whereas in mp3 mode it is smooth as silk, both in FF via Flash and Safari via html5.
Guess which format I disabled?
If Mozilla wants to make the case for ogg as a viable alternative, they need to make this shit work now.
All that's missing is "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!"
Wait a minute...I think I just came up with a good idea for a Facebook application.
All that's missing is "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!"
Riiiight. Because Microsoft has never done anything like that.
I think simply "Microbe" is more fitting.
See here
I just vomited in my coffee.

:-|
Have you ever heard the phrase "pot calling the kettle black"?
And both sets of loud people are fucking annoying as hell.
Do you get to drop babies from buildings as a weapon? That doesn't sound too bad.
Why not just chip everyone and be done with it?

Well, there's no evidence of talent in that link. That is fucking cheesy my friend.
Now, now, don't go clogging up the Apple-hate wankfest with truth and facts. You'll give them all blueballs.
And thus the word bait.
It's not the iOS vs. Android part that's boring, it's the blatant flamebait part.
The iPhone vs. Android flamebait stories are getting real fucking boring, guys.
Huh, so a discussion about Adobe Flash on Google Android is actually about your hatred for Steve Jobs? Maybe you should see someone about that.
Let the suck begin.
I say "twittered" as measure of who in the room will chime in condescendingly with, "you mean tweeted".
