When asked by a reporter, if anything about space flight scared him, one astronaut responded...
"The only thing that bothers me is I'm sitting on top of something that was built by the LOWEST bidder.
When NASA cuts costs, the safety margins go down.
I'm sure the wacko-environmentalist will do anything they can to keep the 3g towers out of Yosemite, Death Valley and other "wilderness" places.
Even if they make the towers look like trees, I'm sure there are some goofy regulations to keep "progress" out of these areas. Not to mention the payoffs the cellular carriers would have to pay to federal, state & local officials to get "permission" to install these.
It's expensive, and they have to look at the cost vs benefit to install towers in places like that.
Maybe we can get Obama to come up with a cellular "stimulas" plan LOL.
Who cares if it is free or you pay a subscription. I use Nod32, and pay for it, but I know many people who are happy with AVG, which is free.
If you read places like the VB100 list, you'll see Symantec would be better served by beefing up their product, instead of poo-poo'ing the competition.
Typical bloated NASA stupidity. The "glory days" are over and they need to put this white elephant down.
This is the same agency that spent millions developing an ink pen that would work in zero gravity, showed
the world what they did, then the Russians said, we just use a PENCIL. Too many chief's, not enough
braves at NASA!
If ICANN ever give up "control" of the internet, so to speak, and they give it to the UN (useless nations), then it will be like
that every where. People have become sheep, we give up our freedoms for (so called) security. Look at the patriot act.
I'm a law and order type of person, but ANYTHING the government does that takes away my rights scares the crap out of
me. We already have thought police.......what do you think political correctness is about? Can't speak your mind anymore,
might offend someone. We've been lead down this path, and, unfortunately, I don't think we can recover. 1984 is here, it
just took a few more decades to come to be.
I use it almost daily. Every time a new version comes out, it's noooooooooooooooooo....I just got use to this version!
CS4, took a little while to find where they rearranged everything.
Holding your breath will reduce "global warming".
Painting your roof white........will you idiotic tree huggin idiots
please crawl back under the rock you came from? You're screwing it
up for everyone else!
of the internet, it will continue to be as it is. A free flow (sometimes illegal) of ideas, content.
If the day ever comes, that the UN (useless nations) get "control" over the internet, it will end up becoming
a politically correct waste of time. There will be censorship big time. Don't confirm to their views? NO internet
for you! I don't care for 99.999% of the garbage (in my opinion) from the huffington post, but, to quote a corny
phrase, I will defend your right to say it.
Just because I don't agree with something published in a book, magazine, radio or newspaper, it's a freedom of
speech thing with me. When you start putting restrictions, no matter how insane or vulgar the speech, you end
up running the risk of taking down the entire structure. You end up with "though police". Those too young should
go back and read the untainted history of the world and look into what happened to Russia after the revolution,
Hitler's Germany, the little dictator in Italy and others, who worked to suppress individual thinking.
Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but, there are those on the left AND the right of the debate who want to
taylor it to what they think. No, leave it alone, you have to take the bad with good.
We're all gonna die! Save us oh great leader Obama!! Geez......more hysteria to panic more and more people. Unless EVERYTHING you eat out of has this, and (probably) if you consumed 1000% more than the normal human, you might run into a problem.
More BS.....
Terminator "4", Ghostbuster 3, Radiers 4, Batman 1,244 etc etc....
All hollywood knows how to do these days is take the same old worn out theme, slap on a fresh coat of paint and throw it up there.
At least the "new" Star Trek "reboot" had a different cast!
The execs at fox (or whoever sets the schedule) put this show on a FRIDAY evening. I don't know how it is now, but when I was a kid, we didn't stay home (especially during a school year) to watch tv. We were out running around, going to the movies, on a date, raising hell. If the people who produced this show were to somehow relaunch this show on another network, say USA or Sci-Fi, and stick it in a good time slot, it would do better. Sticking a show on a Friday evening is like sticking nails in a coffin.
Until they have no choice. You can bet even "grandfathered" vehicles will get knocked out.
They will make new "user fees", taxes (umm...sorry I mean contributions) to make it where you can't afford to drive an older model car. Eventually the marxist will get their way. Everyone will drive a crappy car that has no air conditioning and the only radio station will be one controlled by the state playing "inspirational" messages from "our leader". RIP capitalism, freedom....it's gone!
I believe we were created by god, to evolve.
Obviously, thousands of years ago, we were different, but evolved to what we are today.
What's interesting, is when I say that, depending on which side of the creationism/evolution debate you are on, sparks controversy from both sides;)
I'm not into the HF part of amateur radio, but into the vh/uhf, digital aspects, but a lot of the guys I yack with on the radio that do use HF were scared to death that these idiots at the FCC were going to let this go through.
Someone tried to say that in an emergency, the ham radio community would still work, because the power would be down in the area where BPL was used, so interference wouldn't be an issue. I had to explain to the moron that, well, that's fine, but what about the person on the other end they were wanting to get emergency communications out to had BPL? He wouldn't be able to hear them.
Sometimes, people are just clueless...

Everyone seems to forget, that the "breath test" is just one piece of the puzzle. You also have the probable cause for the traffic stop (weaving, speeding, improper lane change etc), the gaze nystagmus test, other field sobriety tests (alphabet, heel to toe, hold one foot up). Yes, the breath test is a good indicator, but, even without it, you can still get a conviction "beyond a reasonable doubt"
I agree, this is no different than a bunch of police "tailing" a vehicle. As long as they do not interfere with the travel of the vehicle, or, make an illegal car stop or search, I don't like it, but I don't as much have a problem with it. It would be easier & somewhat safer to track a vehicle with GPS than to use a caravan of vehicles to trail one.
LOL...ok, which cell phone company will race to put this in their latest phone. Megapixel....bahhh...
the new XYZ camera phone can capture 6 million pictures a second!
Isn't it typical of the (U.S.) government?
They pass a law to reduce the junk mail, and what does it do? Causes a flood of MORE junk mail.
And these are the same dunderheads that want to control health care??
And the next time a natural disaster hits your area, and your internet, cell phone and every other form of communications is down, say thank you to the "fags" who set up and get the information in and out of your area.

Possibly part of the reason they want to cancel the F-22. Yes, I think UAV's will eventually be the planes of the future, but you still need manned aircraft for a while. With a UAV, you have no environmental system for a pilot, plane can out turn (G's) one with a pilot, and most importantly, you don't put the pilots life at risk.

That can't wait to expose anything the U.S. military is doing, thereby putting the soldiers lives in jeopardy?

Don't see anything from the VB100 list yet. http://www.virusbtn.com/index
