  1. Sollog on wikipedia's "HATE CRIME" on Usenet Psychic Wars With Wikipedia · · Score: 1

I will now present for your consumption, the contents of this page, linked from wikipdiasucks.com where good old SOLLOG says that wikipedia's neutral point of view is a hate crime against his "religion". I hope that from this, the people who do not know can aquire an idea about how insane this all is.

Wikipedia (see www.Wikipedia.org) the on-line encyclopedia has been accused of RELIGIOUS HATE CRIMES by a religious movement known as TOH (Temple Of Hayah) see www.TempleOfHayah.com

TOH members are being actively recruited to file HATE CRIME complaints against Wikipedia and it's owner Jim Wales who is a self admitted pornographer see http://www.247news.net/2004/20041211-wikipedia.sht ml

Many do not like the way Wikipedia imposes what many view as a bias in their articles that are promoted as "a neutral point of view". There's thousands of web hits in search engines on the Net declaring 'Wikipedia Sucks', a new web site was just created the other day www.WikipediaSucks.com due to how Jim Wales and his group are harassing and defaming the religious leader Sollog. Sollog is he founder of TOH the same group that is now accusing Wikipedia of HATE CRIMES.

If you look at the edit history of the Wikipedia Sollog pages, you will see dozens of Sollog fans complaining about how Wikipedia is editing the Sollog pages. 'Pro' Sollog edits are immediately purged and then the poster is called Sollog or a Sollog sockpuppet (a bogus poster who is the same person).

See the Sollog Discussion page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Sollog

Massive editing of Sollog Discussion Page http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=Talk:So llog&action=history&limit=500&offset=0

Here is the article page about Sollog at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sollog it calls Sollog amongst many negative things a 'wacko'. It also says there are no members in TOH his religious movement. So now members of TOH are asking the FBI to charge Wikipedia and its Pornographer owner Jim Wales with RELIGIOUS HATE CRIMES for the false and harassing information about Sollog and TOH that is now on Wikipedia.

Here is Wikipedia admitting what is not well known in the media, that a porn site is the funding for Wikipedia.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomis

(insert talk of Bomis, how the site rips your money off, etc)

Wikipedia is now a top 300 site at Alexa see http://www.alexa.com/data/details/?url=wikipedia.o rg

I hear a major class action civil suit is being prepared by lawyers for TOH against Wikipedia for defaming and harassing Sollog with false and libelous information.

Why is there so much interest in Sollog?

Japan already has a couple of neat games that I'm looking forward to, namely the Wario Ware ("Touch! Made in Wario DS" in Japan) and Jam With the Band ("Dai Gassou! Band Brothers"). I'm sort of considering buying one off of lik-sang.com.

The Japanese also supposedly do not have any of the crappy games that were released here, the only one their launch has in common is Mario 64 DS.

  3. Re:Open Source Solution Needed - See SpoofStick ! on Anti-Spyware Products Don't Live Up to Promises · · Score: 1

As far as I can tell from the website's description of SpoofStick, it only strips out everything but the basic domain or ip address of a page from the address bar. So login.ebay.ca@127.0.0.1 is shown as 127.0.0.1 by SpoofStick.

This will not reveal spoofing sites that use some crazy javascript or other exploits to change the address bar. In the case of a phishing site that shows only login.ebay.ca in the address bar, but is really at 127.0.0.1 (or whatever address), SpoofStick will show login.ebay.ca.

  4. Re:erm, not 1.0? on Open Source Multimedia Center For Windows · · Score: 5, Informative

    From the homepage:

There are some rumors floating around about MediaPortal 1.0.

However this is very wrong, because as you can see below we just released 0.1. The current version 0.1 is not considered as the first stable release and it is definitely not final!

This does not mean the product is an alpha release! The 0.1 is considered a very nice and stable beta release, which everyone can and should test and help out to fix bugs and/or improve the product even further. And remember: it is free forever!

  5. Re:Repetitive stress injuries? on Nintendo DS Review and Internal Pictures · · Score: 1

The thumbstrap is a bit uncomfortable. You have to stretch your thumb across the unit to the touch screen to use it, and that's not as small a distance as it seems. The problem is a little lessened if you have something to lean the DS against, so that the thumbstrap hand doesn't have to support it at all. The trick to using it, though, is to not move your thumb more than a quarter or so of the way across the screen, and Mario 64 DS has a decent sensitivity that lets you do that.

Personally, I don't mind using the stylus for the Metroid Prime demo and Mario 64 DS. It it unusual, sure, but it's not all too uncomfortable once you get used to it, and seems more relaxing for the hands than even dpad-based games on the GBA.

  6. Re:ahem. on PSP Site Launches, Launch Titles Confirmed · · Score: 1

Quality is in the eye of the beholder. And behold:

The Nintendo DS has far better battery life, a touch screen, a microphone (gimmicky for now), and the strangeness of having two screens. These additions encourage innovation from the game makers, as users will be expecting the features to be used. And there's the matter of game selection...

The PSP has more power, capable of better graphics. It doesn't have the new features of the DS, and some people's idea of "better hardware" may not simply be "faster", but rather "new". Still, the graphics are dang nice for handheld.

(The PSP also costs more, as well as the additional price of a memory card so you can actually save your games, and likely an extra battery so you can use it for a decent amount of time. $$$)

Hmm, i really don't like that idea. It sounds like it'd make the game hard or even impossible to mod, and for some games the mods are quite fun and even important...
