    Those craters are subsidence craters from underground bomb tests. See http://www.nv.doe.gov/news&pubs/photos&films/photo lib.htm for some good pics and information. The nevada test site is not part of area 51, just borders it.

    I once gave a hundred dollar bill to a clerk. He promtly held it up to the light and said I cant take this. Why not says I. Its counterfiet says he. Doesnt have a stripe in it. It was an older bill and I couldnt get it through his head that the stripe was a new invention. Had to go to the bank to change it.

    Ok, I've waited long enough. Here is my suggestion.
    People are used to being entertained for free. For example flip on the radio out pops music, didnt cost me a dime. TV, same thing. Who pays for this?
    Advertisers!
    Companies, get a clue. Buy some songs, add a 5 second clip and release it to the public.
    Sure a lot of people would strip the add but most probably would'nt especially if it made it legal and was kept short.
    Like "Garth Brooks singing I've got friends in low places brought to you by the law firm of..." well you get the idea.

    I once interfaced an N.C.R mini computer to of all things a slide projector. Used a serial port on the comp hooked to a uart (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) to control relays. I could advance and back up the projector by sending ascii to the serial port under program control. COBOL by the way :) Allso remember hooking my trs80 to a then new solid state relay using a ttl output from the comp to switch 120 volts ac. Made a dandy light dimmer when you pulsed it. You could do the same with the printer port on a pc.
