Linux is not secure. Yes it is inherently MORE secure than Windows, but the attitude of "I use Linux I don't have to worry about security" is an exceptionally dangerous one.
And for the record, there have been plenty of security holes in Linux and the many packages for it. The difference is they are usually fixed faster. Think sendmail or bind here. How many stupid bugs are in those?
I find plenty of (older) people at work, that can't write worth a damn. I however, even after typing A LOT and very fast, am still able to write both printing and cursive very legibly and quickly.
Definitely not, and I'm pretty sure sending porn emails to minors is illegal under current laws in most states. However, the problem is catching those fuckers, most of the time they send from open-relays , out of the country, etc.
You're right, as long as there is only one stockholder of the corporation. Otherwise it gets a bit trickier. However, you do have to fill out an IRS form to become an S corp., and then fill out a different one every year stating the earnings. So it is more work.
Yeah and its amazing how many completely unsuccessful people are dropouts too. An vastly larger number. But still, some people have different ideas of "success"
Hell, take it a step farther. If this code is the same as is PUBLICLY viewable in linux, what harm is there in publicly releasing (under a license that doesn't allow using it of course) the code?
If their claims are true, the code is the same and releasing it would be the same code as in Linux already. Personally I wouldn't be surpirsed if there was copied code, but I think its probably SCO copying code from Linux;)
You're most certainly right. The ads should say what the product does and also how to use it. After all, if you think you're supposed to shove the Purple Pill up your butt, there are obviously some problems going on.
Not quite right. There is one basic "right" that minors share with adults. That would be the right to pay taxes to the government. Its too bad they can't vote or have any say in where that money goes to.
Quite honestly, I believe that either the voting age should go down, or minors should not be forced to pay taxes.
But there are things that use GPS to get their location and then broadcast it. What is the difference? With the right equipment one could probably intercept those signals.
The North Koreans don't have trouble motivating people. It could be as simple as threatening a family member with a painful torture and death. That usually motivates people pretty well.
Sounds good. To prove that, why don't you go steal some MS source code, submit it as blabla.c, and see if it gets into the kernel. You might find that Linus absolutely does not just "let anybody's code in" the kernel.
You're seriously overestimating the intelligence of the average criminal here. Most would just drive away with the same plates, or switch them with some others that they brought along. Computer databases and planning for a car theft are not common characteristics of a normal car thief.
Professionals might, but like mentioned before, they would prefer to use an expendable minion to do the actual work.
You're right, the love scene was pretty stupid considering it was probably the only thing giving it the R. Although this is not a problem where I live, the local theater (which is pretty nice actually) doesn't ever ID people, and as long as you don't look like a 10 year old, you get in.
You obviously missed the press release. The Moon now belongs completely to the US. Any enemy spacecraft approaching it will be shot down with missles launched from a secret base on the moons surface.
Its not just macs, its most older drives that were built better, and have much lower densities. I have lots of 1GB DEC drives still in use, and they work fine. I'm sure when they were purchased they were used heavily too.
Deathstar *is* a funny name, this coming from someone who owns at least one of them. Oh well, if it dies I'll have an excuse to use my feeble amount of money to buy a nice shiny new drive.

Vegas is completely regulated as well, so I would expect that they are all predetermined also.

You do realize of course, that forming a corporation will make doing your taxes (relatively simple), into a horrific nightmare?

Not sure WTF I was typing...I meant to say a driver or hardware issue can bring the whole system down quite easily.
KDE itself shouldn't, but if you are doing anything with DRI, a driver or hardware issufreezinge can bring the whole system down quite easily.

Unfortunately, both the Democrats and Republicans brought us the PATRIOT act.
Sounds good, I'm sure a lot of experienced CG and animator people would love to work in an environment with no contact to the outside world.

Or maybe they don't need to? I for one have no desire to live on the moon, or see the costs of getting there subsidized by my taxes.
Drives just aren't made the same these days.
I think it would be a lot less hassle for you if you used a RAID setup :)

You do realize this wasn't a fine right? It was a settlement, and definitely a favorable one for Microsoft.
