I'll give you even a better reason...

What happens when you want to play some of your MP3's (or Vorbis or whatever) while you're playing a game? Well if you have your music on your linux filesystem, you're probably out of luck. You can have a shared FAT32 fs, but then you need to guess how much space you should assign to that and its a pain in the ass to get working at first anyway.

Of course you can work around that, but then maybe you want to check your email quick under Windows without booting Linux...now you have to setup your email client there, or live with webmail. Its just not worth the struggle when its easier to just stick with Linux or Windows, not both. I personally tried using just Linux, and then a dualboot, and as much as I like Linux and using open-source software in general, I had to go back to Windows because of annoyances like I listed above. Although I still use as much open-source stuff as possible (Firefox, openoffice, Cygwin, and so on)

Yeah, the FX 5200 is inexcusable for Apple's best machine. I admit I'm tempted by one of these, but when I see that I'll need to buy more RAM, a new video card, and probably another hard drive the decent base price balloons into way more than I (a poor college student) can hope to afford. They should probably offer a 9600xt (or NVIDIA equiv.) in the lowest G5 and the X800 or whatever the newest ati card is on the higher end. I'd still love one though.

Well...right now is when robots will replace people. For example, I work as a web developer at an investment casting company. We extensively use robotics throughout our process, and I would say we are probably the most automated investment caster in the world.

Where the robots excel are at the jobs that finding reliable people for is almost impossible. Its hard to find people who will take factory positions and do a good job at it. Keep in mind though, that the more robots there are, the more high-paying programming, troubleshooting, etc. jobs that are made to support them.

Oh, and its really cool to watch robots dip molds or pour molten steel ;)

It's still a fine car, and with the exception of some minor rust where the paint got scratched, still runs very well.
