Better buy that Powerbook now. There is always a new product on the horizon. If you don't just settle for whats there now sometime, you'll be waiting forever.
Do what everyone says, get a cat. I used to have a male cat who could get the mice easily but didn't take much interest in it. After he died I got a female cat (spayed), who now even at the age of 16ish can still hunt and kill mice just fine. I don't have a problem with them at all.
My male cat was great at catching mice, problem was he played with them and batted them around for a while, but never ate them, just left them sitting around.
Hmm last time I crashed my Super Nintendo was when my dog stepped on it and made it completely freeze up. (But that was quite a while ago, I have since upgraded a few times)
How can they complain...isn't one of their sound files named sosueme? If that isn't a problem, this definitely isn't. Perhaps if it was aimed towards the user it would be.
Until you start to drive, when you have to pay for insurance, gas, repairs, maintenance. And don't forget college, because if you plan on going to it better get saving.
Of course this is all irrelevant for someone who's parents buy them everything, but don't think that because teens don't have rent to pay, that they have a ton of money.
Believe it or not, the entire military would not follow orders if they meant killing their fellow citizens. If the government got too represive, I belive we would end up with Civil War II on our hands.
Hmm. Good luck convincing some big company that runs their important servers on Linux to just shut them off for a day. And they are the ones that probably matter the most for open-source in the long run (they are the ones who put money into it)
No shit it should be a crime to supress childrens rights. Can't vote till your 18, but you can work and amazingly enough you still have to pay taxes. But you have no control whatsoever of where that money goes (voting). Thats just one of the many injustices in the current legal system today.
Of course OpenBSd is a niche OS. Most people want the latest packages and features, and Linux or one of the other BSDs are available for that. OpenBSD caters only to those that need extreme security, even at the expense of usability and features.
I am definitely not one of those, but it doesn't take much imagination to think of someone who might want that.
You bet, this is something I learned when I started my business while researching tax laws. If you buy something from an out-of-state company you are by law required to pay tax to your state.
It's just that most people (unless they are businesses) don't ever bother.
This is the game for Turbine. With the recent horror that is AC2, and AC1 only being a mildly sucessful game business-wise, this is their last chance to prove themselves as an MMORPG developer.
Of course this game is not published by MS, so if it turns out well I guess it is proof that MS was at fault for AC2 being crap like it is now.
This is not AI really. It is just simple number crunching using programs that HUMANS had to write. Basically its just using human intelligence with some fast number crunching.
It probably looked pretty bad back in the Revolutionary War too. A bunch of peasants with a few guns, against a much better supplied British military.
And in this case, I very much doubt even half of the army would fight against their own people. And if at least half revolted, then we have a balance of forces.
Reporting someone to the BSA is not worth it for revenge. Its kind of like selling your soul, not to the devil, but to the highest bidder.

Here's a newsflash for some people: linux journaling file systems (just like NTFS) DO NOT SAVE YOUR DATA. You can still lose data, the only point of a journaling file system is to maintain filesystem consistency, and not require a lengthly check (like ext2) if it dismounts bad.
That's pretty strange, because in Win2k/XP today, programs cannot get direct FS access for the most part anyway. They go through standrad system calls, which there is no reason they could not be backwards compatible.
It was because of the deal with Apple Records, who sued them and they settled out of court. The deal is long over, so they could now enter the music industry if they really wanted.

Space shuttles ALL get grounded at the mere possibility of defect.

It's not an LCD display (which I think is what you're thinking), its just a 17" flat CRT.

You appear unable to comprehend that I was responding to the post under the parent.
What exactly is wrong with naming something after yourself?
I always thought of them as sort of ugly. Guess beauty truly is subjective.
And in other news today, Apple Excavating sues Apple Computer for the illegal use of the patent on "iPonds"
Or you can call the RIAA a cartel, which is exactly what they are.
