how much bug fixing is the question? MacOS 8.whatever still blows (we are still waiting for the savior of the earth "X") I am not comparing OS's here. Everyone has their faults, but to go so far as to say "more bugfixing"... that is bullshit. They are shoving that shit out the door just as fast as MS shoved 2.0->NT->95+ out...

  2. Amazon is really beginning to bother me... on Amazon Refunding The Overcharge Experiment · · Score: 1

I setup an "Xmas Shopping List" (or whatever they call them) on Amazon last year. My mother ordered what I wanted and they said that they were shipping it (3 weeks before Xmas). Dec 23rd she gets an email saying that they didn't ship one of the items b/c it was out of stock (3 weeks).

Then they start tracking you and telling you tough shit...

Then they start overcharging you and then send you an email later telling you that you will be refunded.

My question is: how long before they go under for being fucking stupid? If I went to a bookstore and they fucked me over like Amazon.com has been the past year I would move elsewhere. They feel that they are the next Mickeysoft b/c they are the WalMart of the Internet... They can do whatever they feel like and not have any consequences.. A few /.'ers refusing to use their service isn't going to hold them back any... I think that serious legal action should be taking against these fools to stop what they are doing. This is is some serious crap. My last order (Friday DVD) will be my last for sure...

the other odd thing is the (0) after the bidders login. With something worth so much money I would be rather hesitant to sell to anyone w/o previous buying on EBay (and I worry about a $5.25 SCSI cable + $3.00 S&H that someone ripped me off on)...

I don't give a flying rats ass if they made an OS that runs on every god damn device on the planet... they need to do it like everyone else does, not unfairly. CHEATERS NEVER WIN. this is a sickening trend though... everyone is suing everyone. when you use any sort of game cheat for so long it just isn't even fun to play anymore. You have such an unfair advantage that if you actually are enjoying it, you really need to take a look at yourself and consider getting professional help. Computer games that are played online are NOT real. You are NOT cool when you win. I think that gamers that cheat to win sucked at everything they did (inside or outside of the Internet) and they feel this need to fix that (something like the fathers that scream at the kids to kick ass in some such sport or get all fired up on bad calls because they are living their non-existant sports career out in their kids).

Anyway, like I said, after a while it just isn't fun anymore. Until someone starts cheating a lot they will always have this desire to do it (to see what it was like). It is nothing special. Get over it :)
