Glad to see a Microsoft cheerleader back in action. Fixed your exploit did they? I personally don't use Microsoft products because of their illegal business tactics. Their software is, well.....
This IS an irrefutable truth, I am living proof. Microsoft will never get any of my professional time( I build custom computers-and I only install Linux based OS's-I will hire out the install of Licensed Microsoft products to people who do that sort of thing)or any of my personal time to fix their broken crippleware. Send Error Report? You've got to be kidding right? If you would like to see these computers check out my Opera page.
Definitely with you on the TV issue. I quit watching altogether about eight years ago and all the TV I've been unable to avoid in public places IS surreal. No wonder things are so interesting.
You have got to be kidding me. What's next? Crack cocaine vouchers? All one would have to do is go out in public to get their fix, almost every place you go there's an idiot box. At least my idiot box, this computer, is an interactive idiot box!
Is this video a joke? Come on guys I know Windows is a pain, but falsifying a supposed technical release just to get a chuckle, that's pretty-well-funny. The scariest thing about this is the fact that the carpenters that migrated from another country(from some uh southern border) could deliver a more technical interview than this crap. It's funny the guy states that there are 30 'architects' working to manage the different groups-how many Indians is that? I wonder whose brainstorm it was to bring the security guy back out of retirement to f*ck-up this version of Windows? Do the words 'from the ground up' mean anything to these idiots-OMG! I am not in the IT industry, as a matter of fact I got my first computer in 2000 (a Comp-USA laptop rl366 running 98se), and it only took me a matter of months to realize this 'tool' as it was termed is broken. When that realization sank in, I started asking about to find out where a decent OS might be hiding. Someone mentioned Linux, it took me a few weeks to learn what a BIOS is(so I could boot from CD-rom), what partitioning was(as I did not understand how the system was laid out), and when I did learn about these things out Microsoft was well on it's way to being gone. I had to continue to use Microsoft to access my distance learning classes at the local community college and that was the exetent of their supposed 'user friendly' experience. After those classes were done, I made my decision not to support these criminals (and just because you have enough money to change the definition of 'guilty' doesn't mean you're innocent) and I figured if I was going to have to spend time learning either OS it really wouldn't matter-I thank GOD everytime I interface with any of my computers that I'm not supporting crack dealers and pimps, oh I mean, Microsoft and its ilk. I don't support ruthless, unethical, criminal, corporations-if I can avoid it and I research any and all avenues to maintain this ideal. I still don't get how this is anything close to an 'in depth' technical interview. Just an observation from a drop-out, GED packing, lowly remodel carpenter from TEXAS. This comment was made using Fedora Core 4 with the help of the Firefox Web browser. BTW Where have all the ardent Microsoft cheerleaders gone these past few days? Oh, my bad! They must be fixing their 'superior' operating systems right about now WMF WTF?
It's odd but I've noticed a lack of Microsoft cheerleading over the past couple of days. I'm sure as soon as a patch is made for this latest Windows exploit the cheerleading with resume with the usual vociferous putridity. Shine on!
I got my first taste of personal computers in 1999, I got a laptop with Windows 98se and had nothing but problems. I determined that it was broken-i.e. a poorly designed tool. The majority of the people I questioned about this said, "it's just the way it is, accept it." I am not one to keep a broken tool-as I build houses among other things (http://my.opera.com/emotional1/albulms/), so I searched around and someone suggested Linux. As I had no computer experience it seemed to me that it did not matter which way I went-Linux or Microsoft-I would have to learn. That has been over five years ago and I have many computers and just recently switched my mother to Linux-because it just works. BTW My mother is very practical-she just wants it to work-I can't blame her. Microsoft is very busy trying to hold on to it's market share which has always appeared to be more important than spending much needed resources on its basic tool-Windows OS-any version. I am grateful every day that I made the right choice- and when a friend asks me if I will fix their computer I tell them I will fix it by replacing Windows. I feel for you, it sucks when you buy something that 'sort of' works, only to find out that they are already focussing on the next version-which will follow the same tired pattern, instead of fixing what they shipped 'unfinished' in the first place. It is nice that some guy wrote a patch to fix this, that's the kind of spirit that I have found using Linux over these past years--BTW I do contribute money to the projects that I use frequently and am available to spread the word that there is an alternative to Windows.
Ouch! Ward you were kinda hard on the Beaver last night! Intel: Mature chips, for mature computers...keep your wind-up gadgets for the slums of the third world. No, definitely the second idiot-at best.
Amen, on the TV watching I'm with you. I stopped watching that gargage over 8 years ago. And if the dolls aren't a joke, well then they have earned my vote for top honors on the list of worst ideas of 2005/2006(not to mention maybe a Darwin Award mention). The only thing that scares me about this is the makers and the potential market of these dolls are operating vehicles on our nations streets and highways. "Shootin's too good for ya, hangin's too good for ya..." --Heavy Metal the movie
Wow the first person I've come across that has admitted to boycotting TV and hollywood. Stopped watching all TV and everything other than films over eight years ago. I am occasionally exposed to TV in restaurants and it's surreal. No wonder things are sliding downhill as the avalanche. I really feel sorrow for the folks punishing themselves with a nightly dose of TV; not to mention if they have kids, the child abuse they're subjecting them to, by giving them access to the most ruthless advertisers in the world.
What seems always to be missing, or at least, not specifically stated is the social cost the monopoly business model has on the general consumer experience not to mention sutomer service. I remember, I am 36, when customer service was a valued part of any successful company. Over the years up until present, this customer service has declined or disappeared completely. Is the switch from 'the customer is a valued part of the business model' to 'the customer is a necessary evil to the bottom line' in the current corporate climate wholly to blame? The meaning behind one word, "integrity," defines part of this situation.///
How does a product or service that is vociferously marketed that fails and continues to fail to provide its trumpeted claim affect other businesses when it is one of the products that helps run them? When an unstable, unreliable product is integrated into society, to the extent that it becomes part of the daily experience of a significant portion of society(work and leisure)how could it not bleed over into other areas of social consciousness as well as business models? This makes it easy to explain the dumbing down of a nation as well as part of the argument for outsourcing.
Weird how this kind of behavior flies when people are taught to worship criminals, i.e, Trump, Gates, and other such scum. Crimes against humanity only apply when you don't 'play ball' with those in power. Futhermore it's the people who 'placed' Bush in office that scare me as he is clearly not intelligent enough to get as far as he has gotten in his terms as president.
Hey you! Up on the mount, afraid to post with your name? That afraid to stand up for what you believe in? If I were like you I would have committed suicide long ago. Have a nice day-anonomous COWARD
I suppose that if my life was so sorely miserable that living were something I wanted to block out, then I wouldn't move the next time the current marketing machine crapped out their next redundant technology at me. The masses make me grateful every time they defend the system that is laughing at their consumers every time they exclaim "don't think, shut up and buy something"
The computer, the car, the house, and now the phone-I wonder when the total reboot-software will be available? Then I'll be able to reboot all of the crappy systems at once.
Sure you can trust the government, just ask the Indians
Amen. It's nice to know there are those who understand that Linux is not just an operating system.
Why do you read it then?

Guess yall are a step ahead of the GAME, eh?

I did notice today that Windows Live customers should not be affected by the WMF exploit. Guess you didn't pay ENOUGH just purchasing XP.

It's OK just sit them in front of the TV just like the human children and then ponder the cause of ADHD. Idiot boxes for all!

Do you know who is on the board of directors at the New York Times?
what is a 'pin-headed neocon' anyway?

Once more Linux/GNU Linux. And tell those lazy family members to learn something new that's not broken from the factory.
