This is wildly different. In the case of the Coke bottle, it is a recognisable sculpted design due to the waist. If they had patented the regular straight-sided bottle shape, it would have been just as ridiculous trying to defend that as it is to defend a rectangle with rounded corners.
The plain straight sided bottle is a basic shape (As are numerous other bottle shapes). The coke bottle is not a basic shape. The rounded rectangle iPhone is a basic shape. If they wanted to "Think Different", maybe they should have made it narrower in the middle or some other unique design feature.
I came here to see a first post along the lines of "I heard you like reviews so I did a review of your review so you could review your review" or something.
I don't know if I was happy, or sad, to see an interesting FP instead.
I don't understand all the people saying the Note is too big for pockets. I have tried one and it is fine in pocket.
Hell, even my freaking Nexus 7 fits in all my trouser/jean pockets. Sure it's not comfy for sitting, but easy to carry around. The Note is much smaller than that.
If I hadn't just got me a Nexus7 to accompany my phone, I would be in the market for a Galaxy Note for sure. It's the perfect 'one device' alternative to carrying a phone and a tablet.
I guess lots of 'serial' busses inside the chip. It works very well outside the chip where clock speeds have exceeded the timing possibilities of circuit-board-length traces. Maybe that will scale down to die-lenght-traces...
And on that note, a relative of mine is on AD's. Just so happens that now she is over the worst of it and she wants to wean off, that the pharma that created this drug does not provide a reasonable way to wean off (like reduced dose pills). Instead, you resort to cutting them up (Which they say should not be done).
Basically, they don't *want* you to get better and get off of their drug.
That was my point, though maybe badly explained, with the Munich one. When up Olympiaberg, you *are* up close and personal and it's all around you, as far as you can reasonably see.
Well, we did actually adopt that word at home for one particular object (We couldn't think of anything else to call it) before I moved to a different country.
Much as I hate these made up words, created to push an agenda (like the feminist agenda in the examples you provided), I always feel a little bit hypocritical when I use the word God in a manner as discussed, as I am pretty much atheist these days (Used to be more agnostic but not so much as I go through life).
For this, however, I am prepared to make one ghoddamn exception;)
Also, and I really hate to say this (very attached to my British spellings & grammar in general), but it's true and inevitable; langauge is a constantly evolving beast.
We could also use this to finally rid ourselves of the "Ghod particle" (Yep, getting back on topic here...). So rather than that picture going round with Samuel L Jackson saying "Say god particle one more goddamned time" it could be "Say Ghod particle one more ghoddamned time".
Ahh, except 'Ghod particle' is now acceptable as it's just a shortening of "Ghoddamned particle". DOH!
You mean LCD.
I mean the result YOU mentioned.
Errr, he was being serious, and the result he mentioned was the intent. I don't suppose you RTFT did you?
I think you meant to reply to the post before mine?
Someone familiar with the two products could tell easily. Sure, someone unfamiliar could not.
With the logos obscured, I doubt someone unfamiliar with the latest Corollas & Civics could tell the difference either...

Shocking new: Similar product looks similar!

Regular 32/32 Jeans/Dockers/Shorts/AnythingIHaveTried.
What kind of micro-pockets do you have?
A 7" tablet (Nexus7) DOES fit in pockets. Not great for sitting down, but they do fit quite easily.
I almost cancelled Rogers this year, but they managed to get my VIP package down to $60 so I am in for one more year.
This may just be what they need to do for me to cut that down to ~$40. Then I will be happy.
They will of course be crying of reduced profits, but they won't see it as $40 instead of $0, they will see it as $40 instead of $60...
What are jorts?
And fwiw, I am 5'6 and weigh in at about 70kg.
You have seen the Galaxy Note, right?

I like and want big phones.
Me too.

He said Muphry's Law, not Murphy's Law.

I could never use that in real life. It's like people who say "Oh my gosh". I hate that.

Hrrmmm. Why would he mean to say that?
You sure don't post like who I think would say that to me. Do I know you?
It's like the french way of saying it. Or something :)
I'm nowhere near as attached to my quality of avoiding typos as I am to the language itself.

Brilliant episode :)
