the next real adoption issue is that it can only do cheap plastic parts. which means it's average utility won't be that good. personally I am waiting for a 3D printer that can do things like rubber o-rings, seals, gaskets. that will be huge if you can get all the companies to supply the right sized drawings.
The last issue will be supplying the drawings. someone will have to draw them all out and that will take decades.
Cable internet speeds have brought massive amounts of new options for telecommuting, small businesses, etc.
I know one company using a VOIP service across NY state, and when the owner goes to Florida in the winter she is still connected completely. Such things are only possible because of faster Internet speeds, Gigabyte well i can't see the need beyond that but that's only because it hasn't been deployed fully yet.

Personally those two turned that area into a war zone. While the "whole city" was on lockdown. the bulk of it was just mass transit being shut down. I went to work yesterday. Our delivery drivers were out and about around the city of Boston on Friday.
Sure it was shut down. but for 90% of it was a day off of work only couple of square miles were actually lockdown hard.
And they found the guy after they lifted the lockdown and people started looking around for damage.

The root cause was found. minor manufacturing defects in the battery. The rest is just in case a bad battery slips through quality control.
