    Your an idiot. many women like the rough look of being 1/2 shaven. My facial hair grows very quickly and trying to stay clean shaven for more then a day isn't possible, so i leave it 1/2 grown most of the time and women love it.

    So stop trying to be an ass and claim you speak for every woman on the planet.

    I'd lay money that a quick survey of ./ would show the majority of males here are married with kids or long term parteners. take your misconceptions else where dickwad.

    the judicial system's very purpose is to interperate the law, and to test it in court. You have ZERO understanding of how the legal systems works if you think all judges do is rubberstamp the law.

    open your damn ears, haven't you ever heard of laws being thrown out on account of them failing to hold up in court on a consitutional challenge?

    err, it tells us the size of the charge. i guess all those companys that make batteries and label them by voltage don't know as well as you.

    voltage - the "size" of the electrical flow amps - how fast it's beign drawn watts - volts * amps, or in laymans terms how much power is being used.

    Since they don't know how long a person might live, they can't say amp hours, and since they don't know amp hours they don't know watts. that just leaves volts as a measurement.

    they use a special trench digger that digs and lays the cable from a big spool at the same time. it costs upwards of $300AUD an hour to hire not to mention the planning and other labour costs involved, government approval, environmental concerns. it's a nightmare.

    I think this idea that no new science is going on is just scare mongering to try get more fat cat grants. There's plenty of research going on in every field. sure we could always use more, but that's up to the individual to get involved.

    You seriously have ZERO clue if you think laying anything in the ground, let alone fibre isn't "that" expensive.

    we priced fibre here at work for communications to one of our remote sites ("here" is a desert mind you) and it was $80,000AUD per km ($60,000USD).

    This stuff isn't layed by a few guys digging a ditch with some shovel and throwing in a bit of cable you know....

    hardly. It's not your fault, but most people have a lot of trouble comprehending large numbers of things. I'd guess nokia will simply have all their dealers as collection sites, and have them send the boxes back to them where they will scan the bar code on the battery to mark it as returned and then ship the batteries off to a scrap metal recycler. 43 million would amount to a couple of road train loads.

    i'd be suprised if there was significant labour invovled in the process.

    hell when i was in high school they were telling us it was a FACT that we'd be all out of oil by 2010. utter rubbish.
