    modern encryption is robust enough to deal with anything you want to throw at me. the idea that you could compute my 27 character long pass phrase is stupid as well.

    housing in au's major cities is expensive due to the lack of new housing, not due to urban sprawl. supply out strips demand by far and due to the mining boom there are people with lots of money.

    most of australia's cities could become more dense i won't argue that one, but it'll only be a limited solution.

    personal public transport is the best way to go. i think the little electric buggies from MIT would be brillant if scum bag's wouldn't steal them.

    that's hardly a very scientific measurement, that YOU consider them "enviable", i personally wouldn't ever live in NY or HK unless i was filthy rich. lets look at something real we can measure - price.

    NY and HK are wildly expensive to rent/buy, which bears out my comment that more people moving into the city makes it more expensive.

    your logic is horribly flawed because almost everything that is fed to cattle/pigs is not fit for human consumption. it's waste products and crap we wouldn't want to eat. it's only high grade beef that's pastured these days.

    but hey if you want to eat shit like corn husks and molassis be my guest.

    the more people buy up housing close to the city the more expensive it's going to get, so people like you moving in and buying/renting close to the city are the problem.

    facts are there is no where near enough space for all of us to live 5 minutes from our work place, not to mention people change jobs so often it's not possible to move enough to keep up.

    please try again with a solution that works for more than yourself.

    actually vegans are full of shit when they claim they don't harm the environment. vast tracks of land would have to be cleared if the world were to convert 100% to a vegtable only diet, as vegtables are far lower in energy than meat and meat can be farmed in a much smaller area.

    not to mention that "proper" vegan methods of food production would see better than 3/4 of the world starving to death because not enough food can be produced in the approved organic manner.

    A quick google does not confirm your statement. DX9 appears to blow gl2 away on features and matches it on speed. that is irrelevant though, since DX10 is the future platform for games, unless you live in some fantasy land in which vista isn't going to eventually over take XP. DX10 definately has better features and it's what new games are going to start targeting.

    if openGL3 doesn't bring anything new to the table it's toast.

    PV isn't a clean technology. they take almost as much energy to make as they produce over their life time and they involve some highly toxic chemicals, so disposing of them after they are broken is going to be a huge problem. these particular panels use cadmium ffs.

    because MOND hasn't been verfied by any pyshical tests. it's MOND that lacks evidence not dark matter. all dark matter is, is visible gravitational effects of matter we can't see just yet. it IS crazy to go modifying a verified theory of newton's laws to fit our results without being able to explain why.

    frankly this is because business has cottoned onto the fact it's cheaper to just hire an expert than pay consulting fee's to redhat/novell. to get 24/7 support plus programming and systems training your looking at $50k from redhat for a medium sized business. that hardly measures up to inhouse support which will be faster at solving your issues.
