Personally i don't think that we'll loose the much loved CD. Considering how many computer users have CD Writers. I produce my own music and the easiest way to distribute it is to burn it on to CD. There are also so many home-studios setup that use CD that unless the new format is far superior in sound quality as well as cheaper, many will just remain with what they have. Perhaps the mainstream "big" artist will release on the new format but i think the independant artists will not abandon such a cost effective and easy distrobution format.
the game imho was to short and to easy. yes i know that as soon as it was finished you could try it on a harder level, but that was too boring, because the game was exactly the same so unless the demo blows em away i think ill pass
so kazaa is taking the route of "pay to download" when will RIAA & friends learn that as soon this is implemented some other P2P software using a different protocol will be released thus allowing to download music and other media for free once again. This is a loosing battle and i find it a shame that kazaa is caving in. Hopefully the people that bring us kazaa lite k++ will find a way to circumvent payment./me begins writing new P2P program.
well there is something new. when i watch cnn/bbc/sky news the always seem to focus on the palistinian terrorists and the israely army. its refreshing to know that america is at least being a "little" democratic.
personally i think that projects such as this are a good thing. the more people test software the small the chance of bugs being in the final release. now if only microsoft would follow suit...
well i see some neat apps but the main threads ive read leave out obvious software for a home pc. what about winrar/winace both can handle most other compression methods including.tar.gz which will come in handy with ure mandrake part...
have the people at ibm as well as other laptop manufactures sorted out the "kink" where laptops would overheat causing burns to the groin area of a user? granted it does not happen often, but its still a concern.
so how man non-geeks do you know that have an ogg vorbis player. most people just use windows media player or winamp. sure there are plugins but thats just extra work.
