I must have missed the part where Pres Jefferson was a "Federalist". Washington was. Adams was. That's 1 and 2. Jefferson was a devout anti federalist. So was Patrick Henry and Sam Adams, both of whom sought to boycott the 1787 Con Con. George Wythe of VA went, and along with most of the other "signers of the declaration" (those who risked something for America's United States) voted NO. The only ones who were pro, and who also signed the declaration were Hamilton, Washington and Madison (Madison was turned to antifederalist later on by Jefferson, but sadly far too late to save this country from the totalitarian shift started by Hamilton.)
Hamilton was also pro child labor/slavery, and he admired seeing the poverty forcing children into long labor in england ("producing goods at low prices in that industrious nation").
And they didn't "win" the elections... The fact that Jefferson won the third one, may either be a fluke, or perhaps the truth was spoken in several books about Aaron Burr.. Aaron was FAR more anti big government than jefferson, and far more effective, Hamilton engaged on a major mud slinging campaign to prevent Burr from reaching the presidency, Jefferson, while effective, wasn't a strong enough president. Burr would have been. At this point, enraged, Burr began to react to Hamilton's slanderous comments, and eventually it lead to the duel where Hamilton's reign of heavy handedness ended, as all tyrant types, always do. With a bullet.
The electoral system has been under questioning for ages.
Seriously, your first mistake is not even knowing US history (other than the quick tripe taught in American History in high shool). Your second, is trying to absolve Hamilton of his abuses. If Aaron Burr had not shot Hamilton in 1804 in a duel, our country would've been conquered by a central bank from the onset, long before Jackson could've vetoed the second central bank, and far longer than it took for the Federal Reserve to be established for exactly that... to impoverish the populace by overspending and devaluation of currency.
I know you'll come up with some direct attacks on me, but do your reading, "libel" involves the comments NOT being true. I've done heavy research on this over the years, and, quite frankly, I am having trouble enduring the ignorance of US history I am seeing here in the USA.
Yeah, you aussies left yourselves disarmed. My great grandparents did that, and 10 years later they died at the hands of communists. I leave it to you, your head is in your hands, until you give it to the state, for they will gladly chop it off for profit.
By the way, I watch the gun news, since its an interesting "blindness" of our media as well as YOURS. They report "murders" like our "sudden school shooting spree" right before elections (interesting coincidence isn't it?) and it stopped as soon as democrats got elected.
Get serious fella, I checked the records of both men who did the "shootings" that lead to Rebecca Peters helping you ban your guns. They were both people who should've been behind bars, one even had a pages long record... but instead of prison, he was loose. Why?
I've been asking this question for ages. I ended up starting to read the NRA news, because at least they did research on the part you don't hear in the actual news "media". You know, that part where they searched the RECORDS of the criminals comitting CRIMES, and asking Why were they not behind bars where they belonged?!
I'm sure the gun ban freaks would love to ask THAT question. Otherwise expect to die by knife, and expect the news NOT to mention it... after all, it would rescind the gun bans.
But keep alive that socialist mentality. That way those of us who produce, have to produce for you people too. And I'm sick and tired of writing a check to feed you.
People kill. Guns hold NO responsibility. Neither does a kitchen knife hold guilt if some criminal breaks into your home and kills you with it. The criminal is too often absolved of guilt, with it being transfered to the item/weapon.
Look at London. Now they got themselves a "knife amnesty", because criminals began using knives (naturally silenced, without need for sound suppressors). What is next? Tree branches and rocks are "causing" crushing blows to back of skulls? Steel pipe amnesty?
If you want to see, go to a gun show. Perfect example of well behaved people, go to self regulated gun ranges, I've been to them all to experience it. Strange that nobody dies, and the few accidents are some idiot who didn't bother to study on the proper usage of the gear he/she is handling.
While I am not a member of the "gungho" culture, I must say I admire the ones that practice what they preach within that culture (they carry, they're safe, they're responsible, and very few have had "accidents" or committed a crime with them... and worth learning from... unlike the geeks of today, who let those in power tell them what to use, and how to use it, including their bodies.)
Libertarian Ideals and Libertarian Party are not one and the same. Hence why the "party" split up because one group thought the other to be lazy, weak and ineffective.
I'm not a member of the libertarian "party" for that reason alone. The political party system is a joke. Hence I vote my conscience when I can, and that always makes me wish we had a REJECT option.
There are two types of militia, civil milita (unorganized civilians bearing own arms) and state milita (national guard, state troopers, standing forces, whatever is organized for and paid (and bearing arms owned) by the state).
Well regulated meant only one, and possibly two things. You are reading "regulated" as in today's "regulations".
Regulated, in the 1787 terminology, refers to only one thing. "Disciplined and officered." No joke, a militia with a set structure, even if self organized, is a "well regulated militia". The irony is that the term can also be read to mean "well equiped, trained and supplied."
The ratification misdeeds do not even enter into it.
What I find ironic, is that you are all begging for scraps from the tables of lords and masters with loyalties to anyone but you. Washington DC is a crime capital under a declared "state of crime emergency" since July or August of 2006 (don't remember the exact date). And it isn't just guns, some british guy got knifed and killed in his own driveway, which makes the "protect yourself by staying home" or "don't go into the dangerous parts of DC after dark" completely idiotic.
Since most of you are socialist "democrats" or so called "liberals" (my how that term stopped meaning what it used to mean in Jefferson's day), perhaps this example comes closest to your hearts. Some time ago, in their home in Germantown (rich part of Wash, DC) Theresa Heinz Kerry got ROBBED while outside of their home. Yep, John Kerry's wife... the ketchup girl. Humorously, the news barely touched on it, presumably for fear that the properties there would stop soaring in price, and also that the DC 30year gun ban would go bust if even the big antigunners are being robbed at screwdriver point (making the gunban worthless, what next, piece of rock and treebranch ban?)
(Frankly, I didn't know there were any "safe" zones in that DC, I've watched drug deals and "hot merchandise" deals, going on within plain sight of police squad cars (and the cops within them), and it wasn't a sting, nobody got busted AND there were no headlines or sirens/lights the whole day I was there. I left severely perturbed by that sight. I called the cops about it, and got the run around, they took my statement and basically blew me off. Guess if shots weren't fired, or blood spilled, it wasn't worth their time, though how would "shots be fired" in a gun ban city?)
However, you are correct, the "founders" were two separate camps which are mistaught in history class, one was the rich fascistic overlords known as the "federalists" (a hijacking of the term that has stuck) and the other, the unprepared, populist/agrarian/Jeffersonian group, lead by the very vocal Patrick Henry and Samuel Adams, were the ANTI Federalists (of whom you may hear little or nothing in high school history and if you are fortunate, a tad smidgen from a libertarian professor in college, IF you are lucky). James Madison watered down the actual text, but the states all ratified the text THEY felt was necessary. Do some research while the National Archives are still available to the public. It might open everyone's eyes, especially since we're geeks, we're supposed to be libertarians at heart, seeking knowledge and truth, instead of being gimme gimme beggars and weaklings.
I've worked both private and public research before, the reason that you can keep your network private, is because most privateers can simply buy government sponsored research that suits them, have it paid for by the government, and later have the results they bought "classified" as "top secret" or "of national security interest".
I've been there, i've seen that, done that, got tshirt and beer mug... They're just crucifying kids, because inquisitive minds, for better or worse, when coupled with direct action (they didn't wait for 20 years for anyone's approval) scare the crap out of the dictatorial regimes of the world, our dear old US included.
"In a democracy, you vote first, and take orders later, in a dictatorship, they spare you the trouble of choosing your tyrants and th wasted energy used up voting." ~unknown
A) Knowing what DRM is. B) Knowing why the developers conformed with a bloated media industry and a growing world police state standard (aka DRM) C) Understanding that if you use Linux, you owe little to anyone save yourself. D) Understanding that if you use a corporate OS, including corporate Linux, you are no longer responsible, the other guy is... this means that you can be an irresponsible twit and blame the other guy... this is the "new american way". E) Understanding that if you use another guy's product and he has limitations on it, he owns your balls and always will.
WE WERE WINNING... while we were fighting them in geek format... our salvation will not come from the corporations, it never did... and it never will. Learn from BSD... everyone uses their code in some way shape or form, even M$... and yet nobody can take down BSD, neither Sun nor M$ have yet to hurt the BSD faithful, because the BSD faithful, unlike Linux faithful have been slugging it out with other camps, not among themselves, at least not nearly as violently as the Linux distro wars were on the flameboards. Call me crazy but I know I'm right.
Instead of fighting these bastards on common ground, lets fight them where they can't beat us, small business and non corporate battlefields... guerillas can't win by joining regular slugfest armies, in the end the guerilla resistance becomes merely another division of the thug squad and loses the war, even if the first few battles are easily won.
I don't have time to google it tonight, since I need to get rolling and typing while driving an 18wheeler would probably kill someone (myself notwithstanding) but do a lookup on "unitary executive" and add Bill Clinton to the mix. I remember reading an article about it (might be gone by now) about Bill being the guy under whom the "unitary executive" was "united". He's the "fella" who put the various executive decision privileges all under the unitary... not sure if that's the right wording. I read the article about a year ago, so it should still be around
Try these strings (google seems to not be responding well to my searches, try yahoo or altavista (see it is good for other things than just finding warez)):
bill clinton and centralization of presidential powers
bill clinton and unitary executive decisions
Wow... seems Bandit Bill made off with the glory and left his buddy George to take the fall. Funny, almost. I'm no George Bush supporter, but neither am I a Clinton supporter. And as far as the UN goes, look at their PRAISE of the "police action" taken against "illegal small arms" in Uganda.(they got upset once the Ugandan military started raping women, on top of murder and theft... well everyone has "some" standards, and the UN gets squeamish about rape it seems, but remaining silent while its "members" commit atrocities, well that's par for the course.) *chuckle* Yeah, Bill Clinton belongs in Koffi's place. After all, Uganda won't be QUITE the UN Masterpiece that Ruwanda's "chop job" was, but the innocent blood will run all the same. And the UN, of course, will condemn guns (even though the real issue was a disarmed, powerless people, with NO rights, being butchered by their GOVERNMENT... hmmm... come to think of it... so was the Jewish Holocaust... oh and the Russian Pogroms against Jews... and the Israeli onslaught in the middle east, and Saddam's gassing and massacres... and... well you get the point.)
You're right, I'm going to get in touch with my friend and ask him to send me an article if he has one (at 75 years old, he's got a few years on me and tends to clip a lot of articles:) I'll put in a call about it to Cam Edwards, see if he can dig it up on NRA news (you'd be amazed how little good things one can find on radio after having been on the road for a bit).
To support your comment about things being "suppressed", I actually used to enjoy google videos as well, but as of late several videos a friend of mine at GNN posted have gone offline, quite often requested, no more defaming than any other videos up on video.google. Most of them were new world order, loss of freedoms, loss of rights type stuff, some are VERY good, some are 100% crap, most were on google video or youtube, and the google videos have been down for weeks... not for lack of viewers mind you. GNN, however, is a VERY far left newsgroup (if you've frequented the board you'll notice that there are maybe 3 or 4 ACTIVE centrist/rightwing types on that whole board (and one is a troll), rest being so far of the left that they called Mao TseDun a capitalist christian(or other religious "god fearing" man)).
The aliens part I don't believe, but I've lived outside of the little bubble that is "School, Work, TV, never leave US, when leaving US stay in US friendly area, don't ask questions... breathe, look like dumb bovine at things I don't know from *the nice man on tv*"
Sheesh... there is a new world order son... but the people running the show are actually intelligent enough to do it openly:)
How much news coverage did you see on mass media, internet or otherwise of the US delegation's presentation at the UN "illegal small arms" conference these past 2 weeks?
Yeah exactly, you got Koffi's little bullsh** speech and then it went off. About the only people that shot film of John Bolton's speech Cam Edwards from the NRA. Figures, nobody wants to hear gun positive things, or disarmament negative things...
Lets go back to that lovely example of what follows after getting rid of guns from lawful citizens... remember the chop job in Ruwanda? Yeah... UN defines "legal small arms" as those "arms owned by government players" while illegal small arms are those held by "non government actors". By that judgement, even our founding fathers would've been barred from holding guns.
Do some research by talking to old people... A lot of news coverage isn't given to things that are against the whole world government deal.
I lived on the eastern block, by that same measure, and I still remember that everyone carried a weapon of some sort, even if nobody admitted it (penalties were stiff, since communists got pretty upset if someone was discovered owning a firearm, but the revolutions that took place actually did involve firearms, not all of them seized from Social Security (that's what they were called) troopers, sadly when it was all said and done, the people reestablished the same old world order that they had been accustomed with.)
** I will dig up that story for you and post a scan if I can find it in a newspaper. **
*** If you were alive in the US in the 40's you can probably remember that you could still take a.22 to school, leave it and the ammo with the principal and then go shooting with "the rest of the boys". If you disbelieve it, ask the old gunnies and watch their eyes well up. Nowadays you'll probably get expelled for bringing it up.***
It does exactly what spp.gov will do to US citizens. It extradites you from your locality and makes you directly responsible ONLY to the fed. You are now an AMERICAN citizen only. And when spp.gov gets their way, and the North American Union forms up, we'll have what is called a North American Citizen, completely devoid of a bill of rights of any kind because it will be invalidated by the "agreement" in place. Just watch. The europeans have been used to being bullied around by rulers, any pretense at freedom is simply that, a farce, but we have NO excuse for having let shit get this far.
The power to forego all local laws, the power to extradite the citizens of a state or even locallity to the federal union.
Perhaps you should recall that Benjamin Franklin's elder brother was a BOSTONIAN... there were people who travelled great lengths to give birth in Virginia, so their child would be a VIRGINIAN... Wonder why? Wonder why it was rescinded by the fourteenth making you an AMERICAN instead of a citizen of your state first?
I'm not joking, look up references, until about 1880 "INDIAN" "AMERICAN" "SALVAGE" all referred to the native american indians. No joke. Do some reading on it.
Air Iberia is about 75 years of age to date, probably from the time period past WW2 when people were still allowed to carry on ALL airlines, Air Iberia seems to have been among the last western 1st world airlines to revoke that right to "avoid explosive decompression".
As for you calling bullshit, how old are you? How many places have you lived? How many old timers do you actually TALK to. How many old newspapers do you read (not google, or alta vista)??
And as I recall there are no LAWS that dissuade carry on south american airlines (except brazil and colombia) in Venezuela in particular.380 and.22 cals are allowed anywhere except in El Presidente's presence (I think). The only gun laws I know are enforced throughout as far as civilian ownership and carry is "no military caliber weapons permitted to civvies". And.380's haven't been "Military caliber" since WW1 (and some sporadic use by Viet Cong in Vietnam).
In Newport News, Hampton, Norfolk especially, try getting a CCW. Even with a clean record it will take the FULL 45 days. And then you need to call in and follow up, just to get the "letter of permit" after which your REAL permit will still take a good 1 or 2 months to actually come in.
In Williamsburg it takes 3 days to 15 tops (I used to live there).
Great Firewall Of China was created with THIS EXACT HARDWARE by such freedom loving companies as CISCO, IBM and MICROSOFT, if memory serves. Yeah, This is how China polices their internet so fast. How soon do you think our "employment issue" will be solved by creating the Great Firewall of America??
In south america they let you carry handguns on planes (no joke,.22 and.380 calibers, which, with a shot to the eyepatch can put someone down, despite the weak calibers (very accurate too, no significant recoil)).
Strange, I don't hear of terrorists blowing up planes there.
I recall a flight on air Iberia (spain) that got "hijacked" for about 15 seconds by uzi wielding terrorists.
Seems that their Israeli UZI were no match for the varied makes and calibers used by the citizens packing on the plane (back then they were allowed to).
This was an exemplary show of citizen responsibility. The passengers blew the terrorists to blood soaked pulp. They then enjoyed the rest of their flight. On landing, after the bodies were bagged and dragged off, they were told "thank you for flying air iberia, please watch your step on your way out, thank you for flying Air Iberia."
Voila, armed citizens equals no terrorism issues for us. Big government is what caused terrorists to exist. Before the civil war, and lincoln's MASSIVE expansion of federal powers, America enjoyed a VERY heavy dosage of goodwill from all. Even the Brits. The founding fathers feared a huge army, and look at what we've done to our fine nation? (By the way, if you quote abolition, there were founding fathers who did it, there's even a biography in stores now, the father in question was G. Wythe, VA).
There is a little piece of legislature you should be familiar with, but obviously you are not.
It is called the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. It has several Ammendments, most of them (14 onward) are crap. But 1 - 10 are known as the bill of rights, and were not added lightly. They ensure that the government will NEVER infringe upon the rights of the people. Properly abided by, this Constitution, by itself, can easily guarantee that the rights of the people are not infringed.
One of these rights is the right to be "secure in their persons, papers, property and effects and to be secure from unreasonable search".
Its known as "the fourth ammendment".
Being that MANY liberals here are die hards of privacy and right to free speech, perhaps you ought to read up on your laws, and learn the law that CREATED THIS REPUBLIC (which we now falsely mislabel democracy due to the demagogues on both sides advertising it as such (read your Franklin quotes if you wish to dig up the truth, our founding fathers HATED the term Democracy as much as they hated Monarchy).
Might I add that if you move to China, the law will do for you exactly what you asked of it in your comment? Their constitution says that China GRANTS the citizens rights, and can revoke them when the citizens rights infringe upon interests of the state (whatever they may be).
Perhaps we should reinstate the right of the people to organize local militias, the right to bear arms, and the right to police oneself instead of waiting for the "authorities" to come dictate how life is to be lived.
My parents live in a heavy ex military, ex and current police and redneck neighborhood. They are liberals, but are happy to have said neighbors. They live next to a violent big city in VA (with very tough gun laws to keep the city "safe", but illegal gun crime with unlicensed smuggled guns leads the charts, only topped by illegal KNIFE AND FIST crime.) My folks however, have a neighborhood with ZERO crime rate for 10 years ongoing. Less than 5 miles away from said violent city (part of Hampton Roads, VA). Why? Because of almost NO gun laws. In Newport News, you need 45 days to 3 months to get a conceal carry permit. Yeah, tough law enforcement... and massive crime. In Williamsburg, Yorktown, Gloucester. It takes at most 45 days. Usually 3 to 15. I think Wmsbg has had 3 violent murders in 3 years(all college students, all with KNIVES, not guns), and despite 3 day conceal carry permits and liberal gun laws, wmsbg is a top retiree spot in the state. Odd? I think not.
Perhaps instead of defending draconian bullshit, we should defend the Constitution. I've seen it at work. Jefferson was right. "Let your pistol be your companion on all your walks." And indeed, if you do, and you know your pistol well, it shall keep you safer than all the 911 calls in the world ever could. (Cops will have to figure out who to shoot after they find your dead, raped body. You already have a 100% correct idea who to shoot while the rape is getting ready to occur.)
Perhaps if, instead of paying more idiots to staff Homeland Security, perhaps we should allow our citizens to do what they did in 1940, that is CARRY ON PLANES! South american nations allow it, and I have YET to see one successful hijacking, even if they're only allowed to carry.22 and.380 (non military pistols only), those can STILL kill a terrorist when 20 people stand up and open fire on Akbar and Ahmad.
Might I add that I have done plenty of aeronautical research, my father and his father were both engineers (one mechanical, and my father was aeronautical and space researcher) both agree that "explosive" decompression like in "Final Destination" is the stuff of movies. Most aircraft actually DO leak. Ask military people if their planes decompose when they perform HALO jumps. I have yet to hear of a military plane fall apart when they go do the HALO jump. But just like uber explosive diesel tanks in movies, everyone buys what the government sells and tyranny lives on. (Hint, diesel is a high compression BURN, it does not explode if a gas tank is hit. Diesel takes ENORMOUS pressure to ignite.)
"Parents who Unschool [wikipedia.org] should be charged with child abuse."
Strange, since it seems to me that its mostly an American thing... our children are lazier than hell. And public school teachers are coerced into standardizing a shitty education, instead of making it engaging, interesting, and possibly controversial (as in the case of history, politics, language, physics? I once had a physics professor who began class by explaining that explosions are really fast burns, and, in fact, that flour, as in the food ingredient actually does burn very fast and demonstrated blowing up flour. How's THAT for a controversial high school physics class?)
I came here with an eastern european education and found school easy, boring, and mostly a time sink for children, keeping me, personally from doing what I liked most... reading and researching for my own. (Keep in mind, most of eastern europe at the time had 6 day work weeks, and 6 day school weeks, but school was only about 4 hours a day and 2 or 3 days had also an after school gym class (mandatory, but VERY different than the lame duck gym we have here, most kids there were both limber, agile and rather thin.)// contrary to popular belief, I had plenty of food, it was just not MacFood, it was healthy food:)
You have no idea how mind numbing our schools here in the USA can be, especially to someone accustomed to learning a lot on the outside on the extensive free time the "communist" education system offered (4 hours of mandated science, language, geography, history (oddly, I find that they taught relatively accurate world history, other than aggrandizing their own power plays as "wonderful displays of humanity, etc" At least the commies weren't racist where I lived (the russians are another issue, I hear they didn't get along with the jews too well)). Anyways, everything they teach here is cut and dry, and they have VERY few classes that facilitate discussion, controversy, and therefore, growth. The promulgation of heroification in history and political science is also extremely disturbing.
Imagine, if you will, going into 5th grade math, having the lady give you the american used sign for long division, and setting up some random 6 digit number divided by 3. Now imagine the child in question, being thought "about 4th grade in math skill" because he takes the cube root (by hand) of said 6 digit number. I guess the word "radical" doesn't enter into mathematical speech until about 10th to 12th in our fine country of SOL testing buffoonery.
So I promote, less the unschooling, and more the MORE FREE TIME FOR KIDS AND MORE FREE TIME FOR PARENTS. We had school from 06:30 to 10:30 in the morning. No more, no less. Gym was 2 hours x 2 days. We only had Sunday off, but school was FUN because it actually taught challenging things, and homework wasn't just busy work, it was relative, and usually short, mostly a cementing factor (as opposed to homework in the US which is at best bland, and worst busywork). My parents came home from work around 0400, they left around 0700 (I always left first) and we actually had time together, there was less shit on TV, except one hour of anime at 18:30 (6:30 PM) and that was my TV watching. And imported movies, once or twice a week. Other than that, I spent my time becoming acquainted with the works of the masters, from Master DaVinci to Jules Verne to Aristotle and Shakespeare. Strangely I also had time to go outside, play soccer both for fun and in a club, AND play chess (freestyle and tournament). I can guarantee less kids have time for this before they're 11 in our country, because we're pushed to "spend more time in school". Efficiency is something that is advertised but STRONGLY discouraged in America. Freedom is another one of those things, strongly advertised and COMPLETELY antithetical to the way of life Americans endure.
We just want to guzzle more gas, more food, more TV, more everything while having others think for us, since thinking is far more painful for the majority of Americans than even the other most painful thing... losing weight.

Seriously though, it seems to me that we always have this idiotic need to find ORGANIC life. Perhaps it might not be light emitting or light modifying. Perhaps they're not even "corporeal" or light necessitating. Perhaps they'd find Pluto's cold more hospitable than the wet juicy nature of our own ball of mud. Everyone always thinks in their own paradigm. Why not think outside the box that someone always demands we think within?
There had been fields run on human feces (yepperoo) that had been productive and hadn't yet failed in 4000+ years of usage.
They switch to the monoculture monocrop farming of the west, and in less than 50 years their farmland is failing. Perhaps we should research why over commercialization instead of self sufficiency (and selling of natural surplus, as the original farmers had done) has become the norm.
But who am I kidding, we'd all rather work the line at burger king and paying taxes rather than having our little farm produce what we need (and for the record, my great grandparents produced enough off of a non gasoline farm, with biological fertilizers to feed a whole town). But that wouldn't be good news, because it implies actually WORKING to produce food instead of just microwaving your mc.meal.
I can attest that I was healthier, thinner and in FAR better shape when I only ate what they produced for us. Now I live in a big town on the east coast of the USA and eat fine store bought foods... whenever my job allows me to stay home to even nuke the damn things. Forget cooking.
Yep, modernization helps eh? Gives us more time to watch American Idol and be couch potatoes.
Pointless drivel from the UN multiword titled department of redundancy.

You would have discovered the following:

A) Knowing what DRM is.
B) Knowing why the developers conformed with a bloated media industry and a growing world police state standard (aka DRM)
C) Understanding that if you use Linux, you owe little to anyone save yourself.
It isn't them.
:) I'll put in a call about it to Cam Edwards, see if he can dig it up on NRA news (you'd be amazed how little good things one can find on radio after having been on the road for a bit).
You're right, I'm going to get in touch with my friend and ask him to send me an article if he has one (at 75 years old, he's got a few years on me and tends to clip a lot of articles
:)
Sheesh... there is a new world order son... but the people running the show are actually intelligent enough to do it openly
How much news coverage did you see on mass media, internet or otherwise of the US delegation's presentation at the UN "illegal small arms" conference these past 2 weeks?
.22 to school, leave it and the ammo with the principal and then go shooting with "the rest of the boys". If you disbelieve it, ask the old gunnies and watch their eyes well up. Nowadays you'll probably get expelled for bringing it up.***
*** If you were alive in the US in the 40's you can probably remember that you could still take a
It does exactly what spp.gov will do to US citizens.
When I was a kid, and I'm not older than 30 yet.
And as I recall there are no LAWS that dissuade carry on south american airlines (except brazil and colombia) in Venezuela in particular .380 and .22 cals are allowed anywhere except in El Presidente's presence (I think). The only gun laws I know are enforced throughout as far as civilian ownership and carry is "no military caliber weapons permitted to civvies". And .380's haven't been "Military caliber" since WW1 (and some sporadic use by Viet Cong in Vietnam).
14th... yeah... right, exactly, it gave the Federal government EXACTLY the power that the FOUNDING FATHERS established the CONSTITUTION to PREVENT.
Great Firewall Of China was created with THIS EXACT HARDWARE by such freedom loving companies as CISCO, IBM and MICROSOFT, if memory serves. Yeah, This is how China polices their internet so fast. How soon do you think our "employment issue" will be solved by creating the Great Firewall of America??
goto www.spp.gov and do some thought.
In south america they let you carry handguns on planes (no joke, .22 and .380 calibers, which, with a shot to the eyepatch can put someone down, despite the weak calibers (very accurate too, no significant recoil)).
Wythe, VA).
There is a little piece of legislature you should be familiar with, but obviously you are not.
.22 and .380 (non military pistols only), those can STILL kill a terrorist when 20 people stand up and open fire on Akbar and Ahmad.
South american nations allow it, and I have YET to see one successful hijacking, even if they're only allowed to carry
// contrary to popular belief, I had plenty of food, it was just not MacFood, it was healthy food :)
(Keep in mind, most of eastern europe at the time had 6 day work weeks, and 6 day school weeks, but school was only about 4 hours a day and 2 or 3 days had also an after school gym class (mandatory, but VERY different than the lame duck gym we have here, most kids there were both limber, agile and rather thin.)
Or we might see a death star heading our way in their "shine" and then blow up the day after :)
