sorry....CDW's url screwed me. Go to CDW's site and do a product search for "Interlink VersaPoint RF Wireless Keyboard". This keyboard utilizes radio frequencies. Trust me...you don't want infra-red, and you DON'T want blue-tooth.
is this: rf keyboard. (usb) I've been using it for about two years with my htpc...and have yet to have a problem (or replace the batteries!) Granted, I use the computer only on weekends for the most part, but the keyboard has yet to let me down. Advantages? Mouse is built-in, and buttons are located on both sides (index finger) of board, and keyboard is similar to laptop. Disadvantage: cursor does not move as fast as i would like...current resolution is 1280x720, so it takes a while to meander across the screen.
Wal-Mart.....selling server equipment? What the heck? I am seriously shocked. I thought it was a joke until I followed your link. When did this happen?
I wonder if they do a brisk business...
I'm wondering about reception problems while driving...a hard-mounted
satellite receiver has enough problems providing a good signal due to bad
weather, birds, etc. How well could a vehicle-mounted receiver perform? A mobile dish would have to be:
1) smaller in circumference;
2) hidden, therefore somewhat shielded;
3) constantly moving;
4) lower to the ground than most home-mounted dishes, therefore more
obstacles.
With all of the aforementioned issues I just can't see it working well. Of
course, if the technology is out there ready for me to buy and install in my
vehicle, then surely it has been proven....or am I assuming too much?

It wasn't a link, it was a URL. And it worked just fine more me, after removing the (accidental?) space in "description". Here is the link...

I can see in one of the pics on the last page...it's a Linksys WET11 802.11b wireless adapter that he used.
I must disagree my friend. Yeah...I'd throw it in her.
