I think we all know it's a ridiculously HUGE mistake to underestimate the importance of cypersecurity. Whoever is responsible for "not paying enough attention" to it needs to be outright fired... We're talking about every classified document in existence being at risk. Frankly i don't blame him a bit for quitting. I think it's ridiculous to blame the problem on the bush administration because i think we all know that's not the case, but obviously someone needs to get their act together....

Not really... Supply and demand say that the price will go down... That's the way it works for EVERYTHING. LCD's aren't going to be some special case... and dropping the price will not make them lose anything. You're looking at huge upsides also though. THink about the fact that when a security hole is found...there is usually a fix/patch for it within a two days....or less. Not to mention with the vast amounts of people working on the code...security holes and bugs usually get found and fixed on the code side of things before anyone from the outside finds them. When you compare the two markets, there is honestly very little difference in the security of general open source software and general closed source software. Honestly it seems like holes are found more often in software that is closed...

the key isn't really removing them from the schools, the idea is that if there is one, ALL should be equally recognized... Same goes for political views. 16. Re:40Gflops on Audio Processing on Your Graphics Card? · · Score: 1

The point is that by making it more complex and adding capabilities to it such as audio or physics processing which has been discussed before, you're going to have to add a lot of things to the chips... A CPU is incapable of such "speed" because it has to do so many different things and the development is MUCH more tedious. If you add all these capabilities to a GPU, you're going to slow down the development in a large way and slow progress as a whole... sure it can be done, but the game developers looking for something really fast will be left waiting for the stuff to come out that can run their software...
