I see the legality of the situation of downloading/sharing the episodes right on par with having a buddy tape it for you when you'll be out of town. in other words, fair use?
Scifi channel should start airing episodes when the rest of the world does, with the internet people who are actually interested in the series have most likely already seen the released episodes. Once the media execs realise that the internet has basicly tied the entire world on one release schedule they'll actually see the true ratings for the episodes.
Man, Tech TV gas gone to Hell quick. i'm almost embarassed that i used to watch TSS, now that it's basicly been lobotomised...
and guys oogling videogame character chicks? that's just friggin retarded, they could always pull their heads out of their asses over there at G4 and give that wasted time slot to a show hosted by the old TSS hosts, you know, the ones who knew what they were talking about, those who could answer user calls without having them staged.
under the comment of what i'd like to see as an improvement to linux, i replied as follows
For Linus to get caught FSCKing Gates' wife:)
wonder if i'll hear back on that improvement...
usenet is still running rampant with spammers and pornography, until that situation is remedied, i fear that the majority of the population will choose to use news only and not news/pron/junkmail.IMHO usenet will go the way of icq, still there somewhere, but not as useful as it should be.
i've been using my palm-os based pda for everything from news to resetting Diagnostic Trouble Codes of vehicles, to fictional reading. as far as i'm concerned the only reason that i still get a sunday paper is for coupons and local advertising, as by the time that i get the sunday paper, i've already read the "breaking news" either online or on my pda. from what i can see, that is, from the people around me, this is definatly a fast growing trend, and if the physical news print-based companies can't keep up with the "light-speed" based companies who publish instantly to the entire globe, (except china, and now india, the poor fools) then i fear the print based media may go the way of the telegraph, not so much dissapeared, but replaced with faster, more reliable, technology.
That's your cable/sat provider's fault, not ours. doesnt OZ have any production companies that make series worth watching?
well, you got me there, most of the folks that have ratings boxes prolly dont have that thar Hi-speed AOL...

This is why p2p networks are so important, to keep governments from censoring media, and help keep the flow of information going.
